Todd Palin Earns Spot On New Reality TV Show
Todd Plain, husband to Sarah Palin has earned himself a spot on a new reality TV series called Stars Earn Stripes which will debut later this year on NBC. The announcement comes on the same day as Bristol Palin debuts her new reality TV show. The last show Todd Palin had appeared on was Sarah Palin’s Alaska. Following his stint in reality TV Todd Palin tried to set up a new series based on his snowmobile racing career but it fell through.
The show is a military-themed competition series that will be hosted by Retired Gen. Wesley Clar, NATO’s former supreme commander in Europe and former Dancing With The Star co-host Samantha Harris.
The new show pairs contestants with military veterans to compete in military style missions that were inspired by real military exercises.
Other celebrities already locked into contracts for the show include former NFL player Terry Crews, singer Nick Lachey, Biggest Loser trainer Dolvett Quince and boxing champ Laila Ali.
Much like other reality TV shows each week one team will be eliminated while the winning team will earn cash prizes for military, veteran and first-responder charities.
Todd Palin was likely picked because of his relationship with Sarah Palin’s Alaska which was also watched over by reality TV super producer Mark Burnett.
When explaining the choice in hosts NBC president of alternative and late-night programming Paul Telegdy said:
“The general’s legendary record in the U.S. Armed Forces commands respect as he brings so much practical knowledge that will infuse the show with priceless insight.”
