India cricket fans can watch live online as their team goes for the series win against South Africa in the third Test of the lengthy, 2015 South Africa tour of India — a tour which began with a warm-up T20 match way back on September 29. But after three more scheduled T20 matches, five One day Internationals, and two Test matches so far, the two world cricket powers are into the home stretch with the third Test starting Wednesday at Nagpur, India, followed by one more to wrap up the 10-week marathon on December 3.
The third T20 match was washed out without a ball bowled, and the second Test ended in a draw when rain cancelled all but the first day of play with South Africa all out in their first inning for 214 and India looking good at 80 for no loss.

The good news is, the weather for the third test at VCA Stadium in Jamtha, just outside of Nagpur, appears to be clear for most of the match, with only the fourth day, if there is one, seeing any predicted chance of precipitation.
The bad news, at least for South Africa, is that the VCA Stadium pitch is reported to appear dry and highly friendly to spin — and the South Africa weakness against the India spinners, led by 29-year-old veteran of 29 Test matches Ravichandran Ashwin, has been the story of the Test series so far, after India won the first Test going away, holding the usually fearsome Proteas bats to a mere 293 runs for their 20 wickets.
“We understand that their strength lies in their spin and there’s no point in trying to deny that. It’s about having a game plan against it,” South Africa middle-order batsman and all-rounder J.P. Duminy told ESPN Cricinfo over the weekend. “We know it’s a tough challenge for us but we also know we have the capability of facing those challenges. We’ve done it before. We’ve come here and played well in all formats.”

The VCA Stadium is the site of the first and only Test match that South Africa has ever won in India. The home side has played four Tests in the seven years that the stadium has been in existence, winning two and drawing one, against England, in addition to the defeat to South Africa in 2010.
But when South Africa claimed that victory, they relied heavily on top-rated fast bowler Dale Steyn, who took a seven-wicket haul in the first innings alone, adding three more in the second.
This time around, Steyn remains unavailable as he waits for a groin injury suffered in the first Test to heal up.
