Charlie Hunnam And Robert Pattinson Wrap ‘Lost City Of Z,’ Pose With Costars And Fans In Instagram Pics

Charlie Hunnam and Robert Pattinson’s upcoming film, The Lost City of Z, has officially finished production. In celebration of the wrap, several cast and crew members have posted behind the scenes images on social media, which includes some really great pics of Pattinson and Hunnam in their new jungle adventure.

For his part, Hunnam is set to play the lead role of Colonel Percy Fawcett in the movie, which is based on the best-selling novel by David Grann. Fawcett was a real-life explorer who went missing after pursuing the location of the mysterious city in Brazil’s Mat Grosso back in the early 1920s.

In order to look the part in the movie, Hunnam grew a fairly epic mustache, which can be seen in the image Lucido K posted on Instagram. “What a pleasure #charliehunnam,” Lucido wrote alongside the image, which featured Hunnam posing alongside him.

At the same time, Pattinson plays the role of Henry Costin in the movie. In the book, Costin is a former British corporal who partners with Fawcett on the mission to the find the lost city after seeing an ad in the local newspaper. Costin and Fawcett then undertake the journey together and set off for the Brazil forest, never to be seen or heard from again.

Given the nature of the movie, and the fact that the two actors portray British explorers who face tough conditions in the jungles of Brazil, Pattinson looked every bit the part of a jungle explorer in the picture posted by crew member Diego F on Instagram.

“Finish The lost city of Z #RobertPattninson Gran experiencia,” he wrote alongside an image that featured Pattinson complete with full beard and utterly filthy clothes.

Meanwhile, another crew member, Gabriel Bocanegra, uploaded an image to Instagram of the camera crew in one jungle scene featuring Hunnam and a native. “New discoveries coming,” he captioned the image.

Along with the pictures from the cast and crew, new photos have emerged that feature the World War I settings of the movie. According to Aces Showbiz, the photos feature the destruction of trench warfare during the Great War, and will be a part of the movie’s storyline.

The crew member and World War I photos follow what has been a busy weekend for the film, which also released a photo of Pattinson in character outside a train station. The image, which was released on Facebook, featured Pattinson in a suit, glasses, and beard.

“HOLLYWOOD A-listers lined the platforms of the Railway Station last week as the tourist attraction transformed itself into a major film set. Brad Pitt’s blockbuster, The Lost City of Z, came to town, with heartthrob Charlie Hunnam and Twilight star Robert Pattinson bringing added glamour to the railway line,” the image was captioned. “Pattinson, co-starring as Henry Costin, can also be seen sporting a rugged beard, which has made him virtually unrecognizable from his teenage vampire film years.”

Apart from both Hunnam and Pattinson being featured in the movie, Sienna Miller will also appear as Hunnam’s wife, Nina. At the same time, Tom Holland is also set to star in the Brad Pitt-produced movie, which is being directed by James Gray.

While fans wait to learn more details concerning Pattinson and Hunnam’s latest project, The Lost City of Z is scheduled to be released in theaters in 2016. Based on all of the photos that have been released, the movie is set to follow the book closely and offer a taste at some of the real-life challenges the two British explorers faced in their quest for the famed city.

Robert Pattinson can next be seen in Life and Queen of the Desert, while Charlie Hunnam is in Guy Ritchie’s highly anticipated Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur, which premieres July 22, 2016.
