‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Spoilers: Mark Hamill Reveals Gigantic Reason For Growing Out His Beard
It was confirmed that Mark Hamill would be returning to the world of Star Wars along with Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher. That much is known, but Luke Skywalker (Hamill) has been noticeably absent from promotional posters, teasers, trailers, and everything having to do with Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. Well, he’s finally slipped up and revealed some news about his beard and a huge spoiler.
Seriously, for those that don’t want to know anything that could possibly happen in The Force Awakens or Star Wars franchise, then stop reading now. There are SPOILERS ahead.
As said before, Luke Skywalker is going to be in The Force Awakens, but he’s been nowhere to be seen yet. Well, not actually confirmed to have been seen even though some feel as if they saw his back and hand in one of the trailers.
Other than those assumptions, Hamill has not been in posters, trailers, on advertisements, on toys, merchandise, or anything at all.
Nowhere, right?
Well, as reported by ScreenRant, there is going to be Mark Hamill in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Luke Skywalker will be there, and he’s going to be there for more too. It’s quite possible that his presence in Episode VII will be minimal, but his presence in Episode VIII has been confirmed.
Yes, Star Wars Episode VIII, which is currently filming, will feature Luke Skywalker, which means those passing around rumors of his death in the upcoming film are wrong. It was all confirmed by this tweet from Hamill himself, and it deals with his beard.
Last shaved on 10/22 after final day of my 2nd #TheFlash (which airs 12/8 #XmasTrix), just in time for Ep VIII-whew! https://t.co/UNsPDaqFT2

Not a lot of info was given by him, but it was just enough to catch that something is now known and revealed by him. Maybe it was a slip or a typo or something he didn’t truly mean, but that’s started a whole new set of rumors.
Some on social media believe that maybe he grew out the beard for The Flash and meant to type “just in time for Ep VII” meaning the release of The Force Awakens in mid-December. That may not be accurate either as Hamill’s character of Trickster is clean shaven.
There are those that brought up the repeat appearances of Obi-Wan Kenobi when he appeared as a ghost.

ComicBook pointed out that Luke Skywalker’s position in the new trilogy is totally up in the air and a huge mystery right now. The Force Awakens hits theaters on December 18, and there has been virtually nothing revealed at all and there won’t be, for that matter.
At least, not before the film is released to everyone.
It was revealed recently by Critic Wire that Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens will not be screened for critics first. Disney and LucasFilm are making sure that spoilers of no serious nature get out there before everyone has the chance to watch it.
Unfortunately, the beard of Mark Hamill may have done it anyway.
Something interesting is going on with Mark Hamill, his beard, and the new Star Wars trilogy. The Force Awakens doesn’t have a lot of info out there right now, but spoilers (at least one) for Star Wars Episode VIII are out there. Maybe it was a slip, but Luke Skywalker revealed some huge info and fans owe it all to his facial hair.[Photo by Anthony Harvey/Getty Images]
