WWE Rumors: Huge TLC Match Including The Dudley Boyz And These Teams To Take Place At ‘WrestleMania 32’
The Dudley Boyz’s return to WWE has been one that’s turned into a lot of fun and strengthened the tag division. While their feud with The New Day did not result in winning the WWE Tag Team Titles, they are still relevant and anything can happen. As WrestleMania 32 approaches, it would be the first of those huge events that the Dudley Boyz have competed at in a long time, and a TLC match sounds like an appropriate comeback.
Wrestling fans will always remember the amazing TLC matches that happened between the Dudley Boyz, Edge & Christian, and the Hardy Boyz. No, those matches may never happen exactly the same way again, but there could be some who try to live up to it.
Recently, both Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley spoke with Talk Sports about whether a TLC reunion match at WrestleMania 32 is possible. Sure, it’s been over a decade since the huge triple threat TLC tag matches, but one never knows.
Bubba Ray Dudley isn’t sure how it would go with today’s teams.
“How, when it comes to a TLC match, for me and D-Von – how can you possibly top anything we’ve done before?”
“I mean, our TLC matches are talked about in wrestling circles as some of the best wrestling matches in Wrestlemania history. So if we can’t top it, I’m not sure we want to do it.”
“However, if we had the right guys to do it with, we could probably come close to topping it. Being older, smarter and better storytellers, we might be able to pull out a TLC match with more of an in-depth story than some of the other matches.”
D-Von went on to say that it would be really hard to have a TLC match without Edge and Christian and with the Hardys. They want to be able to tell a story in the feud build-up and then in the match itself.
Bubba agreed with his “brother,” but went on to say that there are other teams out there who are at the level of E&C or the Hardys. That match is “very, very difficult” to put together correctly, according to Bubba Ray, but some teams could really step up and take their chances.
According to WrestleZone, the conversation continued and the Dudley Boyz finally threw out a couple of names of teams that could possibly take part in a TLC match. D-Von had his choices first and then Bubba Ray agreed completely.
“We’re having a hell of time with New Day. The Usos would be another team, too.”
“Asking us right now we’d go for New Day and the Usos.”
“You have to have such chemistry with the other guys you’re in there with where you know what they’re thinking, they know what we’re thinking, we all know what the match is backwards and forwards.”
The TLC matches that the Dudleys, Hardys, and Edge and Christian had were iconic and will always be something that lives on in wrestling history. The Dudleys know that it would be a “big deal” to try and do another TLC match, and one that needs to be done right.
It’s obvious that their faith and trust are in The New Day and The Usos the most.
There’s no way of knowing if WWE would end up moving forward with a TLC match at WrestleMania 32. Sooner or later, the Dudley Boyz will likely get their signature table match again, and teams like The Usos and The New Day will get nothing but further up the ladder with such a gigantic bout on such a huge event.
