I Think We Already Know DMX’s Reality
I had a couple of ideas about what DMX’s reality show was going to be like as soon as I heard about it. Ding, ding, ding: DMX: This Life of Mine is going to chronicle his multiple arrests (six so far in 2008) and his “attempts to rehabilitate himself.”
It’s hard for me to imagine him taking a crack at volunteering, hanging out at animal shelters, and walking older ladies across the street, but I’m sure the promise of cash has sweetened the deal significantly. To be fair, here’s what DMX has to say about the upcoming reality masterpiece (cough):
“In many ways, my life has been an open book. (But) I haven’t always been the one writing the story. With this show, however, people will get to see and hear with their own eyes and ears what really goes on in my life and I think they’ll come to understand me a little bit better with each episode.”
DMX’s life would probably be less of an open book if he didn’t like to resist arrest. At least it was all leading to free publicity for his new show!
