Jimmy Fallon Convinces Jennifer Lawrence To Reveal Her Most Embarrassing Moment: It Involves The Late Elizabeth Taylor
Jimmy Fallon recently had Jennifer Lawrence on The Tonight Show, and what a fine time they had getting down to some grooves. But first, they talked about Jennifer’s most embarrassing moments, of which she has had many. Of course, fans know about her big fall at the Oscars when she went up to accept her award for Best Actress in 2013.
Then she fell on the red carpet the following year.
She didn’t want to talk to Jimmy Fallon about her numerous falls, but according to Just Jared, she was willing to describe her two most embarrassing moments ever, one of which was speaking with a woman whom she thought was the late Elizabeth Taylor.
“She was being really, really nice. Really complimentary. And in my head, I just went, ‘This is Elizabeth Taylor.’ Who was dead at the time. She’s still dead. She’s since passed. I didn’t know that. The whole time she’s talking to me, I’m going, ‘Oh my God, this is Elizabeth Taylor.’ “
The clip of the interview is hilarious.
But what was even more hilarious were the insane dance moves she showed off as she and Jimmy Fallon did a skit in which they were the hosts, named Des and Dash, of a tacky infomercial.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Jimmy Fallon remarked after the skit that no one would dance with them.
“Those dances weren’t normal – no one would do those dances.”
Well, Jimmy Fallon and JLaw would do those dances. And there is something else that Jimmy would do. He would pose on the front cover of Esquire dressed as Santa Claus, and also as the kid on his lap!

Funny photos aside, E! reports that Jimmy Fallon took the time to discuss his job hosting The Tonight Show, the longest-running late night talk show, and his rival, Stephen Colbert. His opinion on the competition was very complimentary.
“It’s good. It just makes everyone work a little bit harder. This is my Madison Square Garden. This is my home court, I’m comfortable here — this is where I play the best. I’ve learned from the best coaches and played with the best players. And I’m not worried. I play to win.”
Jimmy Fallon has a competitive streak! And it seems to be paying off, because The Tonight Show has the best ratings of the three top late night talk shows, at 1.33 million viewers in the 18-49 demographic. Although, Jimmy doesn’t pay that much attention to the ratings.
“I see them now and then. When they’re good, I can’t help it because people will e-mail me. When they’re not good, when they’re stagnant, I don’t hear from anybody. I talked to Jay Leno about this — he told me, ‘They’re gonna go up and down. Don’t worry about that side of it — just do your thing and have fun.’ Other people get paid to worry about those things. I don’t.”
But don’t make the mistake of comparing Jimmy Fallon to Jay Leno, or comparing Stephen Colbert to David Letterman. They are their own people and their own talk show hosts, according to Jimmy.
“He’s not Letterman and I’m not Leno. No one’s the new anyone. He’s him, I’m me. Don’t even compare us — to anybody. I’m me. He’s him. Like, that’s the way it is. We’re totally ourselves. And that’s the only way you’re going to succeed. You have to be yourself, or else you can tell that it’s ungenuine.”
Fans are definitely glad Jimmy Fallon is no one but himself, because if he were, The Tonight Show would not be the same.
