Alec Baldwin didn’t appreciate it when a New York Daily News photographer started taking his picture outside of the Marriage License Bureau this morning. The “30 Rock” actor, who recently wed Hilaria Thomas , punched Marcus Santos while two other photographers snapped pictures of the incident.
According to the Daily News , Baldwin first went after photographer Jefferson Siegel. Santos warned Baldwin not to touch the photographer, which directed the assault in his direction.
Santos said:
“I said, ‘Don’t touch him…’ I knew he was going to attack me. I stepped back, and he kept coming. He comes after me, starts shoving and punching me — one time, right in the chin. And then he started shoving me, and pushing me. Then he goes the other way.”
Goran Veljic, a freelance photographer who witnessed the incident, said:
“He was like crazy, you know? There was an eruption of mad. … You’re going to get a marriage license, you should be happy. What happened with this guy?”
Baldwin didn’t stick around for an interview but he did relay his version of the events on Twitter.
Baldwin wrote:
“A ‘photographer’ almost hit me in the face with his camera this morning. #allpaparazzishouldbewaterboarded”
But according to Veljic, the photographers weren’t overly intrusive.
Veljiic said:
“They were away from him,” said Veljic. “Then he starts running at them. Pushing, very angry, his hands up.”

This isn’t the first run-in that Baldwin has had with the Daily News. The actor slammed the paper after it took pictures of his new bride, Hilaria Thomas, at a yoga class. Baldwin wrote:
“Shame on the no-talent trash from the Daily News for invading the privacy of 75 people in a yoga class to take a picture of someone.”
Baldwin isn’t the only celebrity getting physical with the paparazzi these days. Justin Bieber was reportedly attacked a photographer earlier this month .
