‘WWE Survivor Series 2015’ Pay-Per-View Results — Updated LIVE!

On Sunday, November 22, 2015, WWE will present WWE Survivor Series, live at 8 p.m./5 p.m. ET/PT at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. For those who are unable to attend it live, it will be available for viewing exclusively on the award-winning WWE Network.

However, the Inquisitr understands not everyone in the WWE Universe (or wrestling community in general) will be able to spend the four hours to watch WWE Survivor Series. Therefore, results will be presented live as they become available.

Similar to past WWE pay-per-views, the WWE is providing one match courtesy to those who do not have a paid subscription to the WWE Network. One hour before the special event, WWE Survivor Series Kickoff will take place, which will include a panel of WWE personalities and commentators, which will most likely have Renee Young, Corey Graves, and Byron Saxton discussing the matches at the pay-per-view.

The WWE Survivor Series Kickoff can be viewed not only on the WWE Network, but also on WWE’s official website, WWE App, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, Pheed, and Pinterest one hour before the actual pay-per-view.

It should be noted this pay-per-view has a specialty theme to it, too. At WWE Survivor Series, the classic Survivor Series match will take place. Since its debut back in 1987, this match has been unique for its huge team versus huge team elimination style. So far, the champion in such a match is Randy Orton, in which he has been the sole survivor more times than any other wrestler. However, this pay-per-view is also synonymous with another wrestler, and that is the Undertaker. Back in 1990, “The Phenom” made his debut as the secret member of Ted Dibiase’s team. Though he was eliminated for staying out of the ring for too long, he dominated by eliminating both Koko B. Ware and the late great Dusty Rhodes. This year’s venue marks the 25th anniversary of The Undertaker in WWE since his debut. Ergo, this may or may not be The Undertaker’s last match, though it is possible this is a prelude to retirement.

Usually, the Inquisitr publishes numerous articles leading up to any WWE pay-per-view, but there was a major issue that needed to be addressed outside of the venue. Apparently, the Islamic State (ISIS) has allegedly targeted WWE Survivor Series for terrorist attack. Given the fact that the Paris terrorism attacks recently happened, both local and federal authorities are taking this threat seriously. Here is what has been reported on the matter.

  • Authorities confirm there is a threat by ISIS to target WWE Survivor Series for one of their terrorist attacks.
  • WWE makes a statement WWE Survivor Series will still go on despite the fact many fans understand if WWE decides to cancel it. The lives of tens of thousands of people are far more important than an entertainment show.
  • Reason for going on is because the FBI and Triple H claim the threats have “no credible information.”

Nevertheless, the following match card, shown below, is what is provided at this moment, and can change for any reason. The Inquisitr will update this article with the latest results and details as they become available live!

Roman Reigns vs. Alberto del Rio (WWE World Heavyweight Championshp Tournament Semi-Finals) — Due to Seth Rollins’ injury shelving him, the “Architect” had to drop the WWE World Heavy Championship. To decide who would be champion, WWE held a tournament in which 16 wrestlers participated. Roman Reigns, Alberto del Rio, Dean Ambrose, and Kevin Owens are in the final four and the first semi-finals match will be the first two on that list. It is expected that Reigns will win just because del Rio is already the WWE United States Champion. Very rarely will wrestlers hold two titles, and if they do, it is usually for a short amount of time.

RESULT: Roman Reigns defeats Alberto del Rio via pinfall after the Spear to advance to the WWE World Heavywight Championship Tournament Finals.

SYNOPSIS: The first half, more so the 75 percent of the match, was a back-and-forth game. However, the latter part of the match was when it started to get interesting starting with Roman Reigns countering Alberto del Rio attempting a top turnbuckle high-risk maneuver with a punch. Del Rio fought out of a superplex attempt in which Reigns ended up in the Tree of Woe. From previous matches, this is the setup for del Rio’s double footstomp. Luckily for Reigns, he dodged the stomp in which it seemed del Rio hurt his foot. Reigns smelled blood and followed-up with a Superman Punch which would setup for a Spear.

Apparently, Alberto del Rio was playing possum as he countered Roman Reigns’ Spear with a low super kick stunning Reigns enough for del Rio to lock in the Rolling Cross Armbreaker. Reigns countered del Rio into a single-arm power bomb followed by a pin but it was only a two count. Still, del Rio was able to sneakily lock in the Cross Armbreaker from the canvas. Reigns almost tapped out but was able to muster enough of his “uncanny power” to roll out and lift up del Rio and throw him over the top rope. That actually hurt him more though because del Rio kept the Cross Armbreaker locked in maximizing the count. After releasing, del Rio climbed the top turnbuckle for a double axe-handle smash. Reigns dodges it yet del Rio was able to recover quickly. When he turns around though, he is met with a Spear. Three seconds later, Reigns hand is held high in victory.

Deam Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens (WWE World Heavyweight Championshp Tournament Semi-Finals) — The second match in the semi-finals is Dean Ambrose against Kevin Owens. Similar to the first semi-finals match, there is one participant who is already a champion, and that is Owens. Since he is the WWE Intercontinental Champion, he will likely lose this match. Besides, a “brother versus brother” match would be quite entertaining to watch, since Ambrose and Roman Reigns are former members of The Shield.

RESULT: Dean Ambrose defeats Kevin Owens via pinfall after Dirty Deeds to advance to the WWE World Heavywight Championship Tournament Finals.

SYNOPSIS: The majority of this match easily went Kevin Owens pace. He tried to slow down Dean Ambrose with sentons, sleeper holds, and a multitude of wrestling slams. The pace turned around when Ambrose was able to escape another sleeper hold which stunned Owens. Ambrose tried to finish the match quickly with Dirty Deeds but Owens escaped causing a punch fest between the two. Still, Owens was able to somewhat keep his pace by countering all of Ambrose’s attempts to gain steam.

The ending sequence was one of the best seen at any pay-per-view because it seemed as if Kevin Owens was going to win. First, he countered a second mid-rope by Dean Ambrose, catching him midair and slamming him into the announce table. Next, Owens got Ambrose back into the ring and threw him into the ropes for the Pop-Up Powerbomb in which Ambrose avoided but got a superkick instead. Ambrose tried retaliate with another spring-off-the-ropes clotheline just to get another superkick. Owens then threw Ambrose into the ropes again for the Pop-Up Powerbomb. Ambrose dodged it and countered with Dirty Deeds. A three count sealed his chance to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion later tonight.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Tyler Breeze — This is the first official pay-per-view feud between Dolph Ziggler and Tyler Breeze, one that initiated after Summer Rae “dumped” Ziggler for a “real pretty man” after the whole Ziggler/Rae/Rusev love triangle angle. To be frank, there isn’t much build with this match, but given the fact both Ziggler and Breeze are excellent performers, it is expected to be a very entertaining match at least.

RESULT: Tyler Breeze defeats Dolph Ziggler via pinfall after the Unprettier.

SYNOPSIS: To be frank, this was one of the more-entertaining singles matches simply because it was quite technical. Instead of either Tyler Breeze or Dolph Ziggler standing out, they both worked together to deliver quite a decent match. The only issue is it lacked build over the last few weeks or so which resulted in a story that most people probably did not care about. The ending sequence however was very good because it seemed to suggest that Tyler Breeze is the new Christian while Dolph Ziggler has become the new Shawn Michaels proven when Ziggler tried to finish Breeze off with Sweet Chin Music. Breeze however finished off Ziggler with an Unprettier followed by a three-count that did not look as if it would be enough to take out Ziggler.

Charlotte vs. Paige (WWE Divas Championship) — As a wrestler, Charlotte is very good, one of the best on the women’s roster. However, she is not that good at pitching and selling her character and matches on the microphone. Paige was probably booked because she is very good at such when she is a heel character. Overly seductive, crossing lines, and kind of crazy (which she probably got from her best friend AJ Lee), Paige has become one of two standouts in the now-defunct Divas Revolution. Not to mention, she is great in the ring. To be fair, Paige may not win the title, since it is believed a Charlotte versus Sasha Banks angle is coming up. Instead, she is there to carry the entertainment side of things until Charlotte can “catch up.”

RESULT: Charlotte defeats Paige via submission with the Figure-Eight Leglock to retain the WWE Divas Championship.

SYNOPSIS: Back and forth game in the very beginning but the match turned to Charlotte showing off her mean streak especially with shoulder blocks, spear tackles, and a figure-four necklock. She even locked in the Figure-Four Leglock on Paige in which the latter suffered even more when the submission was taken to the ring apron. Paige however fought back by throwing Charlotte into the barricade multiple times. An act of showboating however would be the beginning of her downfall as she stood on top of the barricade just to be speared off it by Charlotte. Charlotte then rolled Paige back into the ring, locked in the Figure-Eight Leglock, and won via submission.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Finals — The two winners from the semi-finals will square off in the finals. Winner gets the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. It is believed this match will be Roman Reigns against Dean Ambrose, with Reigns winning. However, more fans want Ambrose to win. However, this is just a prediction and what fans want. Anything can happen at this match.

NOTE: The final match in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament will be Roman Reigns versus Dean Ambrose.

RESULT: Roman Reigns defeats Dean Ambrose via pinfall after the Spear to win the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

EXTRA RESULT: Sheamus cashes in Money in the Bank and defeats Roman Reigns via pinfall after the Brogue Kick to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

SYNOPSIS: Given the fact this was the second match for both contestants, it is understandable why the pace was slower and the moves weren’t as “aggressive” per se. Therefore, it wasn’t the best finish for a pay-per-view but one that was understandable. Match starts out with Roman Reigns showing off his power, even withstanding a shoulder block from Dean Ambrose. Reigns would continue to showcase his power until Ambrose started to use strategy and target Reigns’ shoulder with submissions especially that reverse armbreaker.

The match turns around again when Dean Ambrose attempts a top turnbuckle maneuver just to eat a Superman Punch, but it isn’t a quick turnaround but a fight for control as Roman Reigns and Ambrose connect with their finishers yet both kick out each respectively. A slugfest ensues in which Ambrose tells Reigns to give it his all in which they both end up at opposite end of the the corners, a setup for a Spear in which Reigns connects. Three seconds later, Reigns is celebrating while confetti falls down.

Triple H comes out to congratulate Roman Reigns on his victory and offers his hand for a handshake. Reigns ignores it then Spears Triple H, but did not see the Brogue Kick coming. Sheamus cashes in Money in the Bank briefcase for the championship match and tries to pin Reigns who kicks out. Sheamus, a bit flustered, picks up Reigns and Irish whips him into the ropes for another Brogue Kick. Reigns dodges that and is about to setup for a Spear just to eat another Brogue Kick. Sheamus than pins Reigns to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion marking Reigns’ first WWE champion reign short lived.

The Brothers of Destruction vs. The Wyatt Family — This is a unique match and one that will feature The Undertaker and Kane versus two of the four members of The Wyatt Family (which is believed to be Bray Wyatt and Braun Stowman). For those who’ve been watching, The Wyatt Family ganged up on The Undertaker at WWE Hell in a Cell after he lost to Brock Lesnar, followed by them ganging up on Kane the next night at WWE Monday Night RAW. Wyatt “harvested” their powers for his own, but Undertaker and Kane still have it. I guess “harvesting” doesn’t mean “removing.” Anyways, this is definitely the “classic supernatural regime” versus the “new supernatural regime.” I do think this match will end in disqualification, with Luke Harper and Erick Rowan interfering, which will probably lead to the creation of a classic four-on-four Survivor Series match right there!

RESULT: The Brothers of Destruction defeat The Wyatt Family after Undertaker pins Luke Harper after the Tombstone Piledriver.

SYNOPSIS: Given the fact this pay-per-view celebrates 25 years of The Undertaker, the match would most-likely go in a way in which Undertaker (and Kane) will win, or they will lose on their own terms (like decimating The Wyatt Family so much they get disqualified). If you’ve watched any match with The Brothers of Destruction in it, you know exactly what to expect. Prior to the match, Erick Rowan actually “removes himself” when he jumps the gun and rushes both The Undertaker and Kane. He receives a double boot to the face followed by a double chokeslam.

So the match will be The Brothers of Destruction versus Luke Harper and Bray Wyatt with Braun Strowman standing outside the ring like a sentinel. This match was actually one-sided with very little opposition from The Wyatt Family. To appease fans, Undertaker did all of his classic moves including Old School, Guillotine Leg Drop, and his Snake Eyes/Big Boot/Leg Drop combo. There are only two times The Wyatt Family could have had the advantage. First was when Braun Strowman interfered in the match by throwing Kane into the announcement table. The second was after Wyatt connected with Sister Abigail on The Undertaker followed by Harper pinning him. Kane interrupted that count though. Both failed.

The ending was classic as Undertaker and Kane took out Braun Strowman, double choke slamming him through the Spanish announcement table. When both Undertaker and Kane got back in the ring, they were met by Sister Abigail and a Discus Clothesline. The Wyatt Family thought they had the win, even doing their creepy poses (Wyatt’s Spider Walk). That did not matter as both Undertaker and Kane sat up in classic style catching both of them for synchronized choke slams on both. Undertaker than finished the match after delivering his signature Tombstone Piledriver to Luke Harper.

Classic Survivor Series Match – This is another “to be announced” match at the pay-per-view, so it is up-in-the-air on who will be in it or when it will happen. I have a feeling that in the Brothers of Destruction versus The Wyatt Family match, the other two members of the latter will interfere. This will cause two wrestlers to emerge to fight alongside The Undertaker and Kane. My hope is it will be Daniel Bryan and Sting. Please note it is a prediction and can be wrong. Do not hold that as fact.

NOTE: The classic survivor series match will be the team of Ryback, The Lucha Dragons, and The Usos versus the team of The New Day, King Barrett, and Sheamus.

RESULT: Elimination Sequence is as follows:

  • King Barrett is eliminated by Sin Cara after a Swanton Bomb off the top rope.
  • Jimmy Uso eliminated by Xavier Woods after a Backbreaker and Diving Attack Combination.
  • Sin Cara is eliminated by Sheamus after a Brogue Kick.
  • Big E was eliminated by Jey Uso after a Splash.
  • Both Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods walks out of the match to tend to Big E.
  • Sheamus is eliminated by Ryback after a Shellshock giving the win to the team of Ryback, The Lucha Dragons and The Usos.

SYNOPSIS: The first part of the match was a struggle to get control in which it shifted towards the team of Ryback, The Lucha Dragons, and The Usos when they were able to throw out King Barrett, Sheamus, Xavier Woods, and Kofi Kingston outside the ramp side of the ring. Big E then ran to them, trying to tend to his teammates. He, along with the other four members of his team, did not see the Lucha Dragons and The Usos do synonymous over-the-top suicide moves onto them. Then everyone did not expect Ryback to go to the top turnbuckle and do a full-body splash onto all of them. Despite this, The New Day were able to come back and isolate one of the Usos in their corner for tag in, tag out mudhole stomping.

The first elimination came when Sin Cara connected with a Swanton Bomb off the top rope onto King Barrett. However, The New Day came back by eliminating Jimmy Uso with a backbreaker rack and diving attack combination. The match became a back-and-forth game until Big E speared Sin Cara off the apron. Sin Cara was thrown back into the ring in which Sheamus was tagged in to eliminate him after a Brogue Kick. Soon after, Big E was eliminated after a splash from Jey Uso. Apparently, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston were so concerned with Big E, they walked him to the back leaving Sheamus alone with Jey, Kalisto, and Ryback.

Sheamus realizes he is alone and does a valiant effort trying to become the sole survivor of his team. He even connected with the Beats of the Bodhrán on Kalisto. In the end however, he was pinned by Ryback after a superkick/hurricarana/Shellshock combination. Sheamus losing also means the team of Ryback, The Lucha Dragons, and The Usos wins.
