Morgan Freeman Voted Sexiest American Voice, So Jimmy Fallon Gives Him Helium
Morgan Freeman has the sexiest American accent. Well, according to the Brits he does. British Airways conducted a recent survey of 1,000 Americans and 1,000 Britons to find out whose accent from the other side of the pond each group thought was the most attractive. When it came to the Brit’s answer, People reports that they voted Morgan Freeman has the sexiest American voice.
The survey results are hilarious when watching this clip of Freeman inhaling helium from balloons with Jimmy Fallon in 2014.
Dolly Parton came in second and Reese Witherspoon came in third in the survey. Who did Americans think had the sexiest voice in the U.K.? Sean Connery was number one, which is likely not a surprise. Hugh Grant came in second and Kiera Knightly came in third.
The survey results are also interesting in light of the fact that Morgan Freeman’s voice has been called “the Voice of God.” According to Lion’s Roar, Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche posted a pic to Facebook last month after a visit with Morgan Freeman and the Lion’s Roar headline was very fitting.
“Tibetan lama meets Voice of God.”
The meeting was part of Morgan Freeman’s work on his National Geographic series The Story of God, which is due to air in 2016. Lion’s Roar also says Freeman is a vocalizer of the divine.
“Freeman, as both an actor and narrator, has become pop culture’s de facto vocaliser of the Divine.”
Morgan Freeman has traveled to other locations to film the National Geographic documentary, including Turkey, Jerusalem, and Cairo. Many people in Cairo started flocking to social media to say they had spotted the star walking through the streets. According to Daily News Egypt, crew coordinator Wael Abdel Aziz has squashed rumors that the state’s censorship laws apply to the documentary.
“This is a documentary not a movie; meaning that the censorship of the Ministry of Culture does not apply to our scripts.”
However, there was some trouble when the director of state censorship threatened to deport Morgan Freeman and his crew if there was any material created that was an “insult to God.” Abdel Aziz said Freeman was upset by the threat.
“Mr. Freeman got very upset when he knew that the director threatened to deport him; he was so upset that he wanted to cancel the part discussing Egypt.”

It seems that Morgan Freeman has been a busy man lately and not just because he has been jetting off to India and other ancient religious locations. Plus, it appears he doesn’t intend to slow down anytime soon. Freeman has completed work on three films due out next year, including Ben Hur, Going In Style, and London Has Fallen, which is the next movie to be released. Not only is Freeman now involved with Down to a Sunless Sea, but he has also signed on to a new film, Cold Warriors, which is in pre-production.
Cold Warriors is a spy action/comedy movie in which Morgan Freeman plays a retired CIA agent that gets his stepson, a video game programmer, to help him finish a mission from the Cold War era. The movie is directed by Raja Gosnell and produced by Robin Schorr, Lori McCreary, and Mark Gill. The screenwriter is Todd Berger, known for The Happytime Murders.
