‘Zoolander 2’: 15 Years Later, Ben Stiller And Owen Wilson Still Rock The Runway [Trailer]
Comedic duo Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson always deliver a delightfully fun experience, whether they are playing cops (Starsky & Hutch) or less than intelligent male models (Zoolander). Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller have recently come together again to reprise their roles as Derek Zoolander and Hansel, respectively, in the upcoming, long awaited sequel to the Zoolander movie, which was released in 2001. If the trailer is any indication, Zoolander 2 will consist of all the suspense, hilarity, and zany antics of the original Zoolander film.

The first Zoolander film cast Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller as fashion models who inexplicably become embroiled in a dastardly plot to murder the Prime Minister of Malaysia, using Zoolander as an unwitting accomplice. The all star Zoolander cast included Will Ferrell as Mugatu, Christine Taylor as Matilda Jeffries, and Jerry Stiller (Ben’s real life father) as Maury Ballstein. These actors will also join the cast of Zoolander 2, which will certainly lend an authenticity to the film that otherwise would not be present.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Zoolander 2 finds Hansel and Derek Zoolander as older models whose careers have dried up. (This does not at all reflect on the actors, who don’t look as though they have aged at all in the past 15 years.) The new hottest supermodel is named All. Played by Benedict Cumberbatch, All seems to be a gender-neutral model, to which Zoolander inquires, “Are you, like, a male model or female model?”All’s response further confuses Zoolander.
“All is all.”
Hansel jumps in with his usual comic genius, and that well-loved Owen Wilson smile. “I think he’s asking, do you have a hot dog or a bun?”
Penelope Cruz plays an Interpol agent who lassos Hansel and Zoolander into helping her with an investigation. “Someone’s trying to kill the world’s most beautiful people,” she tells them.
In fact, many have already died, including Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, and Usher. What does this have to do with two washed up male models? All these gorgeous faces die wearing Zoolander’s famous look, Blue Steel.
With Mugatu safely in jail, who could be behind such a nefarious plot? It turns out Mugatu has gotten out of jail. No one knows what kind of mischief he will stir up, but it will assuredly involve Derek Zoolander and Hansel McDonald.

The plot, as silly as the previous Zoolander movie, promises great laughs as we reunite with the beloved characters of the past. Watch the newly released full length Zoolander 2 trailer below.
Ben Stiller’s stamp is all over Zoolander 2, as it was with the original movie. In the 2001 incarnation, Stiller produced, directed, co-wrote, and starred in Zoolander, reports the Wrap. Globally, the movie grossed over $60 million. Zoolander 2 is expected to be no different, as Ben also directs, stars in, and co-produces with Stuart Cornfield, Clayton Townsend, and Scott Rudin. The Zoolander 2 screenplay is written by Justin Theroux, who also wrote the screenplays for popular movies such as Iron Man 2 and Rock of Ages, according to IMDB.
