Khloe Kardashian Of ‘KUWTK’ Contracted A Staph Infection At Lamar Odom’s Bedside

Hospitals are places to go to get well, but they are also places where it is easy to pick up a bug, and Khloe Kardashian has learned this the hard way. She has needed to take a break from her book tour and Keeping Up With The Kardashians to recover from a serious staph infection she picked up while at her husband Lamar Odom’s bedside.

The Inquisitr reported that things may not be going too well for Kardashian’s husband, Lamar Odom, who still cannot walk, talk much, and is learning again how to feed himself, which sounds like a traumatic brain injury, as he was oxygen deprived. Now, Odom might be facing criminal charges connected to his serious cocaine use at the brothel in Nevada where he had his stroke. The decision is now in the DA’s hands, but they are leaning towards charges.

TMZ is reporting that Khloe Kardashian is so sick, she is laid up in bed and has canceled this leg of her book tour. Staph is serious business.

“We’re told Khloe has a lesion on her leg which became incredibly painful. She developed a high fever, swollen glands. She’s also sweating profusely with intermittent chills. One very connected source tells TMZ, ‘It’s so scary. She’s so sick.'”

Khloe Kardashian has spent so much time at Odom’s bedside, and he’s had those horrible chest infections, it isn’t surprising that Kardashian picked something up.

She tweeted that doctor’s orders are for her to lay low until they figure out exactly what’s going on.

Hollywood Life says that what was at first a mysterious illness marked by fatigue is now officially staph.

“Oh no. Khloe Kardashian, 31, allegedly contracted a very serious staph infection at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where Lamar Odom is currently being treated, a new report claims. And it’s because of that that she cancelled a number of her book tour appearances, which HollywoodLife.com previously reported.”

She had thought she was just run down from the tour and checking on Lamar, but then she got a fever.

“Khloe’s staph infection is really ‘bad,’ a source told TMZ. She allegedly has a lesion on her leg which has become ‘incredibly painful.’ Thus far, she has ‘developed a high fever, swollen glands. She’s also sweating profusely with intermittent chills,’ the source claims.”

She claims that stress can run you down, so Kardashian hopes her fans will take good care of themselves.

“Stress can run our bodies down so please everyone take care of yourselves,” she told her millions of fans in two tweets on Wednesday, Nov. 18.”

The Daily Mail said that tending to Lamar Odom was stressful enough that Khloe Kardashian got exhausted and left her susceptible to infection and illness. If not caught early, staph can be very damaging.

“Symptoms can vary from painful skin rashes and boils to dangerous heart infections. Food poisoning, blood poisoning and toxic shock syndrome are some of the most common types of staph infections, which are typically treated with antibiotics.”

Sometimes, doctor’s must turn to IV antibiotics to fight the most stubborn staph infections, which can lead to flesh-eating bacteria like MRSA. Kardashian was supposed to be in Houston this week, but is back home recovering in Los Angeles.
