Michael Lohan Heart Attack: Medical Emergency Interrupts Visit With Children, Lohan Rushed To Hospital

Reports indicate that Lindsay Lohan’s dad, Michael Lohan, may have had a heart attack in Florida on Wednesday and he was rushed to the hospital. While it has not yet been confirmed whether this was indeed a heart attack or some other type of medical emergency, it does sound as if he is in the midst of a potentially serious medical crisis.

According to TMZ, Lohan was at the Florida Department of Children and Families building in the midst of a monitored visit with his two children with Kate Major, Landon and Logan. The children are currently in the care of Michael’s mother after the DCF removed the children from both Michael and Kate a few weeks ago.

Apparently during a three-hour visit on Wednesday, Michael started having chest pains and was heavily sweating. It seems that his mother may have tried to help by providing some heart medications he is said to be on, but his condition did not improve, and 911 was called. Lohan is said to be undergoing tests at the hospital now to see if he had a heart attack or if something else caused the distress.

As was previously reported by the Inquisitr, Michael Lohan’s heart attack comes just a couple of weeks after he blasted Kate Major for the situation with their children. These two have had a very volatile relationship over the years, and a video of a major blow-out fight in front of Logan and Landon is what led to the intervention by DCF. Lohan has said that Kate’s ongoing issues with alcohol drove these latest issues, and in the past, he has blamed his ex-wife, Dina Lohan, for all of the drama to a degree, as well.

Kate and Michael were ordered by a judge to take anger management courses, and the case was due to head back to court today. Given Lohan’s heart attack issue, it seems likely that Landon and Logan’s custody arrangement will remain as-is for now, and everybody will be due in court at a later date.

Interestingly, Friday’s episode of the Dr. Phil Show is slated to feature Lohan as he talks about his troubled relationship with Major and the loss of custody of his children. The WUSA9 synopsis for the pre-recorded episode teases that Michael will be talking with Dr. Phil about how Kate is a volatile alcoholic who is not fit to raise their sons. This is touted as an opportunity for Lohan to set the record straight and the video that led to the removal of the children will be addressed in the show.

At this point, there has been no indication that the Dr. Phil Show will move this episode as a result of Michael Lohan’s heart attack or medical crisis. Given that the show has already been filmed, it may well air as scheduled. Will it shed any light on what really happened to lead to this recent DCF involvement where Landon and Logan were removed from Michael and Kate’s care?

The relationship between Michael Lohan and Kate Major has been fraught with drama since its early days, and it does not look as if that will stop anytime soon. So far, nobody in the family has commented via social media on the reports of Michael Lohan’s heart attack. For now, people will have to stay tuned and see what Lohan reveals about this medical incident and see what comes next for the two boys caught in the middle of this volatile relationship.
