Lady Gaga And Tony Bennett Make Beautiful Christmas Music Together, In A Book Store Of All Places

Lady Gaga is just full of surprises these days. No, she hasn’t revealed any crazy meat-themed costumes or been carried out in an unidentified object. In fact, it is quite the opposite. She has teamed up once again with her singing partner, the legendary Tony Bennett. Only this time, they are promoting books in a Christmas commercial for Barnes & Noble.

As seen in the ad that was posted on Barnes & Noble’s Twitter account, the “Born This Way” singer comes out of the cold and into the warmth of the book store that is decked out in bright white lights and gold garland. Gaga is looking quite festive herself, in a black dress with a green jacket over it. With her matching green heels and long nails painted red, she is looking like a lady who knows what she is after. Who knew it would be books?

She starts singing, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” while a male voice is heard belting out the same tune. As Lady Gaga is looking through the books, Tony Bennett is on the other side doing the same thing. The 89-year-old crooner is looking mighty fine in his black suit with a bright red scarf and a red and black striped tie.

Next thing you know, the singing duo are both searching for each other amongst the tall shelves of books. They do, indeed, find each other as they round the corner, and are thrilled by their surprise encounter. It looks like they are both thinking the same thing when it comes to gifts, as they handed each other the book they picked out for the other one. Lady Gaga was given a book by Tony, which looks to be Isabella Blows. It seems like a perfect fit for her, as it is all about the world of fashion. She chose a book for her friend called The Jazz Life, and that is definitely the appropriate choice for Tony Bennett.

The theme is “You just never know who you’ll will meet at Barnes & Noble.” This cute commercial blends a classic hit song, the feel of Christmas, and a couple of musical legends from two different worlds into one cute ad. It also helps to promote the power of reading, which makes a great gift for the holiday season, and the rest of the year.

Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga may seem like an unlikely duo, but ever since they have done so, they have made beautiful music together and have become lifelong friends. In fact, Bennett is expected to be singing “Cheek To Cheek” at her wedding to fiancé Taylor Kinney, as Page Six reported last spring. It was also revealed that the wedding will be held at Gaga’s Malibu mansion sometime this year.

No wedding date has been announced yet, but the engaged couple is said to be keeping tight wraps on the exact details of their upcoming nuptials. It is almost the end of the year, so either they have postponed their special day until 2016, or their wedding is coming up very soon. In the meantime, fans can enjoy photos from this couple like this cute one.

Lady Gaga has been horrifying people every Wednesday night on FX in American Horror Story: Hotel. She plays the part well, and shows that she can do more than just sing and shock people with her outfits. It is certainly a far cry from her Christmas look on the Barnes & Noble commercial.
