Montana State Republican Convention Features ‘Obama Presidential Library Outhouse’

It’s nice to see that backwoods redneck activism is still alive and well in Montana. The state was holding its Republican convention this weekend when out of the blue the “Obama Presidential library” appeared. Unfortunately the library was little more than an outhouse with some rather low-brow artifacts and bullet holes riddling its sides.

Featured inside the outhouse was a fake birth certificate. According to the Helena Independent Record:

“Inside, a fake birth certificate for Barack Hussein Obama made reference to the disproven controversy over the president’s origins. It was stamped “Bull—-.” A graffito advised “For a Good Time call 800-Michelle (crossed out), Hillary (crossed out) and Pelosi (circled in red.)”

It should be noted that actual candidates for the GOP were quickly denying any association to the Obama Presidential library outhouse. State GOP Chairman Will Deschamps said the Obama outhouse was a “sideshow” while claiming he had no idea who created the outhouse and put it on display.

According to Deschamps:

“It’s not something I’m going to agonize over. Some of that stuff is not real good taste. We do have a president of the United States, and we have to honor that.”

Speaking at the convention which was held at Missoula’s Hilton Garden Inn was former GOP presidential primary hopeful Newt Gingrich.

Convention organizers were not able to remove the Obama Presidential Library outhouse because it technically wasn’t breaking any laws.

Only about 500 people were in attendance for the Montana State Republican Convention to witness the Republican display.
