Shannon Beador’s recent comments about Brooks Ayers seem to point to the idea that Vicki Gunvalson may have known more about her former boyfriend’s lies than previously thought. In fact, the Real Housewives of Orange County star addressed the new developments surrounding Ayers in an interview with E! Online .
In the interview, Beador admitted that she was still trying to piece things together, but that the story Gunvalson has relayed concerning her part in Ayers’ lies does not add up.
“I am still trying to connect the dots. It doesn’t make sense that Vicki would say she spent four hours with Brooks for chemo at the City of Hope when he was never treated there… The truth always comes out.”
Beador’s comments follow the reports that Ayers actually forged some of the medical documents he cited as evidence that he underwent treatment for cancer. Furthermore, as OK! Magazine noted, the idea that Gunvalson may have played a larger role in Ayers’ lying about cancer will undoubtedly have an impact on the way her co-stars deal with her in the coming season.
Meanwhile, although this past season has focused a lot on Ayers’ cancer, this latest development certainly adds another layer of controversy to the scandal. This is particularly true if Ayers really did forge some of the medical documents. With that in mind, Beador went on to talk with ET about how wild this past season has been and how much she is ready to move on to the new season.
“Well, there were some insane things going on that, god, you can’t ever script something like that,” Beador stated. “I can’t imagine that I could have to go through [that again]… [Next season] can’t be dramatic for me. I just want to be, like, a normal person. Have a little bit of fun, have some laughs, and have somebody else take the drama part.”
That being said, Beador also revealed that she was not thrilled about interacting with Gunvalson in the new season. This is mostly because she feels like all the lies this season have hurt the basic truths that are a part of any reality based show.
“I think when someone comes into a reality show fabricating their reality, number one — it damages my authenticity and my credibility,” she explained in the interview. “And I think it basically damages the whole concept of reality television. I have a huge problem returning and filming with someone who is not truthful at all.”
With that in mind, is there anything Gunvalson can do to win back the trust of her co-stars? According to Beador, it might just take a little bit of time for her wounds to heal, especially since everything only recently went downhill.
“I think, number one, time heals all wounds,” she stated. “There’s just a lot of raw things going on right now, because, especially for me, I wasn’t told the truth.”
Whatever ends up happening with Gunvalson and her co-stars, the situation with Ayers isn’t going to go away just yet. In fact, the fans questions remained unanswered even after Ayers shared his side of the story on the Real Housewives of Orange County: Brooks Tells All .
During the special, Ayers seemed to stick to his previous stories and claims. The interview with Andy Cohen was shot before his cancer claims were discredited, so we may never know whether or not he really did fake the documents. Additionally, despite his claims, fans may never learn just how much Gunvalson knew about the situation.
