Nicki Minaj’s Ex Hoping To Make Music With Drake? Safaree Samuels’ Fans Beg For Collaboration
Nicki Minaj and Safaree Samuels are no strangers to taking shots at one another on social media, but is Safaree planning to diss Nicki Minaj by teaming up with Drake for a musical collaboration?
Nicki Minaj and Safaree Samuels’ 12-year romance came to an end last year after sources close to Nicki Minaj alleged that Safaree was unfaithful to Nicki despite their longtime relationship. However, Safaree has spoken out against the cheating claims by insisting that he was the one who ended his romance to Nicki after learning that Minaj was hanging with rapper Meek Mill.

Now, it appears Safaree Samuels’ fans are eager to hear Safaree team up with Nicki Minaj’s longtime friend and label mate Drake for a musical collaboration, especially since Drake made headlines for his heated feud with Nicki Minaj’s boyfriend, Meek Mill, earlier this year.
Safaree took to Instagram on Wednesday to inform fans that while there won’t be many features on his upcoming It Is What It Is Vol. 2 album, he’s eager to hear who fans would want to see featured on his future albums.
“If you could hear me with 1 person who would you want to hear?” Safaree Samuels asked his fans, prompting responses like Rihanna, Chris Brown, Future, and Missy Elliot.

While some fans are eager to see Safaree further explore his Jamaican roots in his music, the majority of fans admit that they would like to see Safaree and Drake team up for an epic diss track on either Nicki Minaj or Meek Mill given Meek and Drake’s feud that escalated earlier this year.
Meek Mill made headlines earlier this year after he took to Twitter to accuse Drake of needing a ghostwriter to write his raps. In addition, Meek Mill publicly accused Nicki’s ex Safaree of being “gay” because Safaree was comfortable with Nicki Minaj dancing on Drake in her record-breaking video for “Anaconda.”
While both Drake and Safaree responded to Meek Mill’s claims with their own diss tracks, it appears fans are eager to see the duo collaborate on some future material.

Despite Drake and Nicki Minaj’s rumored romantic history, Safaree showed support for Drake during his ongoing diss battle with Meek Mill by insisting that there’s no bad blood between himself and the “Hotline Bling” rapper.
During an interview with Winford Williams for Onstage in August, Safaree was asked for his opinion on Drake and Meek Mill’s ongoing feud over Nicki Minaj and whether or not he and Drake dislike one another given Safaree’s history with Nicki.
“I like Drake, ‘Back To Back,’ that was hard,” Safaree admits of Drake’s “Back to Back” diss track aimed at Meek Mill.
“You come out and do a record like that and it becomes a club banger? That’s crazy. He low-key inspired a number one hit,” Safaree further admits of Drake’s diss track.
Similarly, Safaree referenced Meek Mill and Drake’s ghostwriting feud in his diss track “Lifeline” aimed at Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill, in which Safaree alleges that Meek Mill is jealous of Drake’s commercial success, Hip Hop DX reports.
“You dream about Drake numbers in your nightmares / But y’all hating on me and my little career.”
Drake also appeared to give Safaree a shout out in his rap for “Only” alongside Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, and Nicki Minaj, stating that, “I never f***ed Nicki cause she got a man / But when that’s over, then I’m first in line.”
While Drake has yet to respond to fans’ desire for a collaboration with Nicki Minaj’s ex, rumors suggest that Drake has another diss track planned for Meek Mill on his upcoming Views From the 6 album that is set to release in early 2016.
