WWE Rumors: New Plans For ‘WrestleMania 32’ Main Event Will Anger Many Fans – Brock Lesnar’s Role
The injury to Seth Rollins not only complicated things for the immediate future in WWE, but also in the long-run too. There were big time plans for Rollins that included him being involved in the main event picture into WrestleMania 32 and beyond, but that’s all had to be scrapped. Well, new plans are being put in place and currently, the main event for the big event doesn’t include Brock Lesnar, but does include John Cena and Roman Reigns.
Yes, Dallas could not just be looking at one of the biggest crowds ever for a wrestling event, but another record could be reached as well. That could be the largest amount of people booing all at one time.
Please, remember that plans could change at any time since the WrestleMania 32 is still months away, but plans are starting to be put into place.
According to The Wrestling Observer, John Cena vs. The Undertaker appears to be the current plan for one of the WrestleMania 32 main events. Still, there were discussions of having Roman Reigns defend the WWE Title against Cena in the main event.
It seems as if that was the main plan before Seth Rollins was injured with Reigns set to win the title at Survivor Series. Now, the WWE Title tournament will be completed at the PPV, and while it’s not yet a lock, Reigns could still end up winning the whole thing.
Should Reigns win the WWE Title, then there was the possibility that John Cena could go on to win the Royal Rumble in January and get the title shot at WrestleMania 32. If that plan went forward, then Rollins was set to face off with Triple H in a bit of a student vs. teacher idea.
Now, Triple H won’t be facing off with Rollins, and he likely won’t be facing off with The Rock as has also been rumored. Wrestling Inc. is reporting that The Rock is filming a movie in 2016 that has an insurance clause in his contract that may not allow him to wrestle.
Sure, he could still show up at WrestleMania 32, but not do anything physical. There go both of Triple H’s proposed opponents out the window.
So, with Seth Rollins out. The Rock likely out of a match. Triple H may not end up wrestling at all. John Cena and The Undertaker are supposedly set to take on one another in one main event, but where does that leave the “Beast Incarnate?”
Yes, many are wondering what could happen with Brock Lesnar.
If nothing else is known right now, it is set in stone that Lesnar was set to battle The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32, but that feud officially ended at Hell In A Cell. One rumor going around is that Lesnar could win the Royal Rumble and go on to face Roman Reigns for the WWE Title.
If the fans would end up booing John Cena vs. Roman Reigns out of the building, they would end up blowing the roof off of the building for a Reigns vs. Lesnar rematch. Well, they would blow the roof off for Lesnar and what he would do to Reigns.
The only thing is that WWE is once again building up Reigns to be a monster and giving him the mega-push. It’d be odd to see him end up facing Lesnar and then have the beast completely demolish him once again and win the WWE Title.
Still, it’s what fans would love to see.
WrestleMania 32 is changing almost daily as to what matches may or may not happen, but there are still months before build-up officially needs to begin. John Cena vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Title may have been once discussed and likely still could be, but the fans would truly want to see the belt land back with Brock Lesnar.
