Jillian Fink, Patrick Dempsey Caught Holding Hands — Is Estranged Couple Getting Back Together?
Patrick Dempsey and his estranged wife, Jillian (Fink), are trying to put their marriage back together again after being separated for the past 11 months, Us Weekly is reporting.
Paparazzi have snapped pics of the couple holding hands while out and about in Paris, catching the pair at the City of Light’s famed Love Lock Bridge — Parisian bridge (actually Pont des Arts) where, since 2008, lovers have been attaching padlocks to the bridge and throwing the keys into the river as a symbolic gesture of their love. Patrick and Jillian reportedly attached their own lock to the bridge (unfortunately, the weight of all the locks is damaging the bridge, and the Paris government plans to take them down).
An unnamed source close to the couple tells the magazine that Patrick and Jillian are still very much in love.
“They’ve been going on dates. And [the are] trying to be a couple again. There’s still a lot of love between them.”

Back in January, Jillian filed for divorce from Patrick after 15 years of marriage, citing the old standby “irreconcilable differences.” At the time, the couple posted a statement, via People, that they intended to focus on their children.
“It is with careful consideration and mutual respect that we have decided to end our marriage. Our primary concern remains the wellbeing of our children, and we ask with profound gratitude that you respect our family’s privacy at this very sensitive time.”
Jillian, a professional make-up artist, asked for spousal support as well as joint custody of the couple’s three children, 13-year-old Tallulah and 8-year-old twins Darby and Sullivan.

Forty-nine-year-old Patrick married his second wife, Jillian Fink, in 1999, back when he was a bit actor without a lot of major screen credits to his name. Dempsey became an international sex symbol and superstar in 2005 when Grey’s Anatomy became a hit show. His good looks and perfect hair earned him the nickname “McDreamy.” Dempsey’s name started turning up on “Best Hair” and “Sexiest Man Alive” lists.
He also became filthy rich and started indulging in his hobby of collecting and racing sports cars. In 2014, by which time he’d competed in dozens of races around the world (and winning a handful), Dempsey spoke to the Tampa Tribune about his hobby.
“My acting career gets in the way of my racing. I would love to race more, but it’s a matter of time – and money. I would like to make motorsports a complete priority and just focus on this full-time. If I could just walk away from acting, I think I could do that very easily, and just focus on the driving; I would love that more than anything else.”
As it turns out, Dempsey’s habit of being away from his family for long stretches of time would wind up taking its toll on his marriage to Jillian. Us Weekly’s insider notes that Jillian wasn’t happy with an absent husband and father to her children. The unnamed source also says that Patrick has seen the error of his ways and is trying to do right by his wife and kids again.
“He was going through a bit of a midlife crisis. But he’s snapping out of it.”
Although the couple appear to be patching things up in public, their divorce is still pending, at least from a legal standpoint. Neither Patrick nor Jillian has legally rescinded their divorce petition as of this post.
