Kim Kardashian Talks Pregnancy Gain & Cake Binge: Why She Blames God For Getting Fat, & Her Weight Loss Plan
Kim Kardashian has spent much of her life in front of cameras and on social media, discussing details that some might regard as TMI. So, when it comes to gaining weight during her second pregnancy, Kim apparently decided that she might as well provide the exact number of pounds that she’s put on. And according to Kardashian, that number is 52 thus far, reported People.
While 35-year-old Kim is looking forward to parenting her second baby with Kanye West, Kardashian contends that she’s got work ahead to take off the baby weight. With six weeks until her due date, it’s not yet known how much that might be.
“Ok I’m 52 lbs up today… and I still have 6 weeks to go! I got my work cut out for me!!!!” posted Kim on Twitter.
Prior to gaining so much weight, Kardashian had been accused of faking her pregnancy, with speculation ranging from hiring a surrogate to adoption while sporting a fake baby bump. But as Kim tweeted after her weight gain began, it’s become clear it’s no fake.I secretly loved the rumors I was faking my pregnancy bc I was so skinny! LOL Well can't hide it now! 5 month (20weeks) and 20lbs up ?

Kardashian and Kanye will be welcoming a son in December, giving their two-year-old daughter North a new playmate. But although Kim has been eager to add to her family, pregnancy doesn’t fill her with joy.
“I’m gonna keep it real: For me, pregnancy is the worst experience of my life! LOL,” spilled Kardashian.”I just always feel like I’m not in my own skin.”
However, Kim is trying to keep her eyes on the prize of a new baby and also anticipating the challenge ahead of taking off the baby weight for the second time.
“But I will say, as much as I really hate the whole feeling of being pregnant, I enjoy the challenge of getting my body back after it’s all over,” reflected Kardashian. “I feel so accomplished when I’m back to where I want to be.”As for pregnancy cravings, Kim admits that she once flew to Paris for a slice of special cheesecake, reported the Daily Meal.
However, Kardashian insists that it wasn’t related to a specific craving. Instead, she just wanted to have a final significant treat prior to the post-pregnancy dieting that she knows lies ahead.
“[The cheesecake was] just to have a last hurrah of all the food I’m not going to be able to have for a while,” explained Kim of her let-me-eat-cake crusade.
As for her pregnancy diet, it’s healthy, says Kardashian.
“Every morning, I have an egg white, avocado, and a piece of wheat toast. And for lunch, I love salad. And then dinner, it’s usually a risotto or a pasta,”shared Kim.
During her first pregnancy, Kardashian weighed almost 200 pounds and was miserable, reported CeleBuzz.
Kim feels it was because God was teaching her a lesson.
“I’d think God was doing this for a reason. He was saying: ‘Kim, you think you’re so hot, but look what I can do to you. My body just went crazy. After five months I swore I’d never get pregnant again. I got so huge and it felt like someone had taken over my body. I’d be sitting there, nearly 200 lbs, crying and swearing this will never happen again.”
However, apparently it did happen again, and Kardashian already has surpassed the weight she gained during her first pregnancy, when she gained 50 pounds, according to the Stir.
Kim waited until she had lost most of her pregnancy pounds before revealing that number.
How did Kardashian take off the weight the first time? Kim turned to to the high fat low carb Atkins diet, according to E News. The diet consists of protein, healthy fats, vegetables, and selected fruits, according to Colette Heimowitz, vice president of nutrition at Atkins. She told E! News that examples include nuts, avocado, olive oil, poultry, fish, lean meat, a variety of vegetables and berries, providing the following sample meal plan.
