There is more drama ahead for Vicki Gunvalson as The Real Housewives of Orange County gets ready to air its final episode this season, titled “Secrets Revealed.” While Gunvalson has been at the forefront of the controversy surrounding ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers , who is being accused of lying about being diagnosed with cancer, the reality star is dishing out more information about her time with Ayers.
In fact, according to ET Online , Gunvalson recently told her co-stars that she was disconnected with them throughout this season because of her tumultuous relationship with Ayers.
“Well, Brooks and I were fighting a lot, and so I disconnected from everybody,” Gunvalson states in the clip.
Disconnected or not, her fellow co-stars did not seem eager to believe Gunvalson’s excuses and started to dig deeper into her relationship with Ayers. The ladies followed this up by asking Gunvalson if she saw any clues in her house that would lead her to believe Ayers was lying about having cancer.
Specifically, Heather Dubrow asked, “You didn’t see meds in the medicine chest? Pills? Prescriptions…”
Gunvalson responded by saying that she never saw Ayers fill any prescriptions, and she only saw generic pill box organizers.
“I saw his pill boxes,” she stated. “I didn’t see prescriptions.”
Furthermore, a spokesperson from City of Hope, the hospital where Ayers claimed to have been treated, told E! News that Vicki Gunvalson’s ex was never treated for cancer at their facility. E! News also noticed some inconsistencies in the paperwork that Ayers presented as “proof” he was getting treatment.
At the same time, Gunvalson’s daughter, Briana Culberson, was quick to reveal that her mother only witnessed Ayers taking vitamins at their home and that he never had any cancer-fighting medications.
“To this day, I definitely had red flags,” Gunvalson admitted after Culberson’s comments. “I do not have evidence that he does not have cancer. I don’t have any evidence that he does.”
While viewers will finally get to hear more from Ayers side of the issue in the upcoming Real Housewives of Orange County: Brooks Tells All special with Andy Cohen, it isn’t clear exactly where Gunvalson stands on the issue. In the clip, she states that she still believes Ayers has cancer, even though she previously stated in the reunion special that she didn’t think he did.
“My gut says he doesn’t have it,” she stated during the reunion. “I don’t have any proof that he doesn’t, and he won’t give me enough proof that he does.”
Clearly, Ayers has yet to provide Gunvalson with the necessary proof that he has cancer. Hopefully, he makes this right soon, and we will all finally know the truth about whether or not he has cancer.
Meanwhile, regardless of Gunvalson’s current feelings, the reality star is apparently ready to leave her life with Ayers firmly behind her. In fact, according to Us Magazine , the reality star was recently spotted out and about with a new man, Smith Walker.
Walker is from Texas and has been a friend of Gunvalson for a long time now. Although the details of their relationship are unknown at this time, the two did spend an entire evening dancing the night away in a saloon in Anaheim, California.
Does this mean that Gunvalson has found someone to replace Ayers? By the looks of it, Walker and Gunvalson had a great time together over the weekend, which suggests that Gunvalson has moved on with her life. However, given the nature of Gunvalson’s relationship with Ayers in the past and how they have dated on-and-off for a number of years, it is hard to say if she has truly moved on and is ready to enter the dating world once again.
The last two episodes of this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County , titled Brooks Tells All and Secrets Revealed , are set to air Thursday night on Bravo.
[Update] Brooks Ayers just released a statement to E! News in which he apologizes for “fabricating” medical documents.
“Words cannot express the deep regret that I have in fabricating documents to ‘prove’ to the world that I, in fact, have cancer. What I did was wrong and inexcusable. I acted alone, without Vicki [Gunvalson]’s knowledge, to produce documents for a reality TV show in hopes of putting doubts about my cancer to rest. I never intended to disclose my actual medical records or details about my private and personal medical history, thus the rationalization of presenting documents that weren’t true simply for a ‘storyline’ for the show.”
He went on to add, “From this day forward, my own personal journey with this disease will remain private as I initially intended over a year ago,” Ayers continued. “My sincerest apologies to my family, friends, loved ones, and those who are battling this horrid disease for any additional pain and/or stress that I have caused.”
