Patrick Dempsey And Wife Jillian Fink Working Things Out 11 Months After Filing For Divorce

It looks like Patrick Dempsey and his estranged wife Jillian Fink are willing to work it out after all. The former Grey’s Anatomy star, and his wife of 15 years, Jillian, announced that they were divorcing eleven months ago, but now it looks like the estranged couple is looking to reconcile their differences, as evidenced by the photos that surfaced of the couple holding hands.

According to People, a source close to the couple told them that they are “working on their relationship.”

The two were captured out and about in Paris. So why were the pair in Paris instead of their home in Los Angeles? Well, according to the source, Jillian, who is a makeup artist, does makeup for Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence. Currently, Lawrence is touring the globe to promote the final film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay: Part 2, and because of that, Fink is working to perfect J.Law’s red carpet looks.

Back in January, the couple, who has three children, Tallulah, 13, and Sullivan and Darby, 8, announced that they were filing for divorce. When the news happened, a source told People about the struggling married couple.

“[The split] was a long time coming… They were never going to make it work, but they tried. They have had disagreements for a long time.”

What were those disagreements about? According to a source, Jillian thought Dempsey worked too much, between his blossoming racing career and his work schedule on Grey’s Anatomy. Last year, Dempsey dropped Grey’s Anatomy in favor of offering his free time up to racing. So, perhaps with only one thing on his plate, he has more of a balance for his family.

Of course, after the news of the split hit, there were all kinds of theories on why Patrick and Jillian couldn’t make their marriage last. As the Inquisitr reported, there were rumors going around that the Grey’s Anatomy star didn’t agree to leave the show, but was fired for having an inappropriate relationship with a much younger woman on the staff.

It’s said that this was the reason for his pending divorce, and was also the reason why his relationship with co-star Ellen Pompeo was a bit strained. That said, these rumors only circulated for a few days until his rep denied the report via Gossip Cop. Dempsey’s rep said it was a “ridiculous” story.

It seems like Dempsey’s relationship and career are both at a high. Although it was assumed that Dempsey would only focus on racing after he left Grey’s Anatomy, the actor scored a role in the upcoming Bridget Jones sequel. That said, films are less demanding than a TV series. As opposed to working 17-hour days on a television set for eight months out of the year, on movies, an actor can work a few days a week for two months and have the rest of the year off if they want.

As of right now, it’s unknown what Jillian and Patrick intend to do with their house. Although they’re working on their relationship, the last we heard about the couple, they were putting their Malibu home on the market for $14.5 million.

Back in March of 2014, Dempsey showed the house off for Architectural Digest.

“What’s great about it is you know where everyone is in the house. There’s no separation. You don’t lose your kids… I like the intimacy, even with the great volume you have here.

“This is a family home and we want it to be inviting and comfortable and casual and relaxed so you’re not uptight about things.”
