Tom Cruise Is Done Having Kids: “I’m Happy With Three”

No more kids for actor Tom Cruise. He has three, and according to him, that’s plenty.

The Rock of Ages star has three kids: 6-year-old Suri with wife and actress Katie Holmes, as well as 17-year-old Connor and 19-year-old Bella with ex-wife Nicole Kidman. This completes his family tree, as Cruise announced that he won’t be having any more children. “I’m so happy with three,” he told People.

“I’m enjoying every second with Suri that I have. And I’m enjoying the relationship with my older kids, and the way it is right now,” the 49-year-old actor continued. Cruise turns 50 on July 3rd, and will be spending his birthday with family on the set of Oblivion in Iceland. Cruise also recently gushed about wife Katie Holmes, who he married in 2006. According to Cruise, walking into the room is all Holmes needs to do to cheer him up.

“She is an extraordinary person, and if you spent five minutes with her, you’d see it. Everything she does, she does with this beautiful creativity. She has a voice and warmth as an artist, as a mother. She’s funny and charming, and when she walks into the room, I just feel better,” he said of Holmes, 33. “I’m a romantic. I like doing things like creating romantic dinners, and she enjoys that. I don’t know what to say – I’m just happy, and I have been since the moment I met her. What we have is very special.”

Cruise and Holmes might not completely agree on the “no more kids” mantra. As of 2010, she was at least open to the possibility of more kids. Although she might want another baby “in a couple of years,” she has her hands full with Suri. “Right now I want to make sure I’m really there for [Suri],” she said.

Tom Cruise’s next film, Rock of Ages, opens June 15th.
