Miranda Lambert Shares Sad Song Lyrics On Instagram: Response To Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani’s Romance?

Miranda Lambert’s ex-husband, Blake Shelton, recently went public with his romance with fellow The Voice star, Gwen Stefani. Online, Miranda Lambert seemingly reacted to the news.

According to a report by Hollywood Life on November 9, Miranda Lambert uploaded a photo of a screenshot of her phone, which was playing a song titled, “Record Year,” and in the caption the country star wrote, “I’m countin on a needle to save me.”

As the site revealed, “Record Year” is a song about someone who is going through a rough breakup and listens to classic music to get through it. In other words, it definitely seems like something Miranda Lambert may relate to. Not only has she gone through a breakup just months ago with Blake Shelton, but she’s now having to deal with his highly-publicized romance with Stefani on top it. Likely making matters worse for Lambert is the fact that Shelton and Stefani had spent so much time together prior to their split.

While there is no current evidence of an affair between Miranda Lambert’s ex-husband and Stefani, there have been rumors of such because they’ve had so much interaction in recent years.

The following are a few lyrics from the song Miranda Lambert shared on her Instagram page.

“Since you had to walk on outta here/I’ve been having a record year… I bet you thought before you left/I’d just sit in silence by myself/Turn this house into a jail/Dyin’ slow in a livin’ hell… You’re leavin’ left me going crazy.”

As Hollywood Life revealed, “Record Year” isn’t the first song Miranda Lambert has shared since news of Shelton and Stefani’s romance was confirmed last week.

Days ago, Miranda Lambert made a post about “Better Than” by Lake Street Dive, and the lyrics included, “I could spend ages reading the news/I could spend days singing the blues/But I turn up the TV light/Give up without a fight/Better than pretending to know what’s wrong and what’s right.”

Last week, just hours after Stefani’s rep confirmed news of her romance with Miranda Lambert’s ex-husband, both Miranda Lambert and Shelton attended the Country Music Awards. The timing could be interpreted as a bit hurtful but, luckily, Lambert’s night wasn’t a total downer as she won the coveted best Female Vocalist award.

After the show, Miranda Lambert’s ex and his new leading lady, Stefani, took their romance public for the first time as they hung out in Nashville, where the awards show was filmed, and were spotted holding hands as they spent time with friends and enjoyed a few drinks.

Meanwhile, a source recently claims Miranda Lambert is ready to get back in the dating game.

“[Miranda Lambert] is ready to move on,” an insider told Hollywood Life on November 6. “[Miranda Lambert] wants to get on with her life. Sam Hunt is going to be on her tour — he’s drop dead gorgeous and a lot of people would love to see them together.”

Although Miranda Lambert will be spending a ton of time with Hunt, it’s hard to say whether or not they will take their professional relationship into a personal zone, so fans will have to wait on the potential country romance.

Miranda Lambert and her ex-husband, Shelton, parted ways in July after four years of marriage and nine years of dating. One month later, Stefani and her husband, Gavin Rossdale, announced they were divorcing after 13 years of marriage and three children together.
