Delaware Woman Arrested After Having Sexual Intercourse With Daughter’s 13-Year-Old Boyfriend

After an eight-month investigation, Elaine B. Goodman, 45, of Dover, Delaware, was arrested Wednesday for having sexual intercourse with her daughter’s 13-year-old boyfriend in her car, according to Fox 32 Chicago. Goodman was charged with “third- and fourth-degree rape, unlawful sexual contact, and sexual solicitation of a child.”

On March 15, just a few weeks before Goodman’s birthday, she and her daughter’s boyfriend – whose name has been withheld – made arrangements via text message to meet up at 1 a.m. He snuck out of his house and met her at her vehicle where the pair drove around the town for a while before parking the car at an undisclosed location. The pair sat in the backseat of the vehicle and begin to have sexual intercourse until 4:30 a.m. Goodman then dropped the teen off at his home and headed back to her house to prepare for work, according to Delaware Online.

Not long after the sexual encounter, an anonymous report was made to the Smyrna Police Department about an inappropriate relationship between Goodman and her daughter’s boyfriend. Officers immediately conducted an investigation where it was soon discovered that Goodman had in fact made contact with the teen via text message that was deemed inappropriate. Not only did she contact the teen, but Goodman also sent a disturbing message to a friend, whose name has been withheld, saying that “He [the teen] is so cute with a nice a** body. I asked him what in the world are u doing with a body like that at 13.”

Investigators then collected DNA evidence from the car and from the clothing they wore the night they had sexual intercourse, as well as gathered digital evidence from their cell-phones. The teen was taken to Children’s Advocacy Center where he was interviewed about the incident and he stated that on the night in question, Goodman sat in the backseat with him and began to kiss him. She then proceeded to undress him and that’s when the teen said she “took his you-know-what and put it in her you-know-what.”

The incident sparked social media outrage. One Facebook user, Doretha Devard, wrote: “The world no longer has a moral compass. From commercials to video games is sex, sex, sex. And now homosexuality is being forced down our throats, teenage pregnancies are normal, tv shows EVERYTHING, MUSIC says everything, cheating is normal, What do you think is next? Sex with children will be LEGAL.”

Several social media users called Goodman a rapist saying, “Lady, you have no shame! How could you? You are a disgrace, not to mention a rapist.” However, Facebook user, Karlton Lyon, feels differently about the boy’s decision to have sexual intercourse with his girlfriend’s mom saying, “boys will be boys.” He went on to write that “Everybody saying how trifling this is, but coming from the boy stand point, he thinks he’s the man.”

“Not only has he hit [sex] the mom, he would have eventually hit [sex] the daughter – no doubt bragging to his boys, then his parents find out,” he added. “Too embarrassed to claim that their son isn’t to share some of the blame. She didn’t force him out of the house.”

“All I’m saying is I was a teen once and if some of the girls I went to school with and their mom wanted to do the nasty, I would had sex too. And I was raised to respect my elders and most definitely to respect someone’s mother.”

After the investigation, there was enough evidence to charge Goodman with third- and fourth-degree rape, unlawful sexual contact, and sexual solicitation of a child. She was arrested at her home on Moriarty Street and appeared at the Justice of the Peace Court 2, via video phone, and was later transferred to Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution near New Castle with a $250,000 bond, pending a future court appearance.
