Jessa Duggar Seewald and her husband, Ben Seewald, are eagerly awaiting the birth of their first child. Due on their first anniversary, which was November 1, Jessa is making the time go faster by persuading the Duggars to estimate just how much her new baby will weigh, reported People .
To help play the guess-the-baby-weight game, Jessa asked her husband’s mother to share how much Ben weighed at birth, which was eight pounds, 15 ounces. In addition, Duggar shared her own weight when she was born.
“I was the biggest out of all my siblings,” confessed Jessa, who is 22-years-old.
Duggar weighed nine pounds, 15 ounces at birth. Consequently, the former star of 19 Kids and Counting estimates that she’s going to have a big baby. She shared the messages on Facebook.
“I’d say it’s very possible we could have a chubby little baby!” Jessa also posted.
As the Inquisitr reported, the Duggar family has survived a year rocked by scandals emanating from her brother Josh Duggar. His confessions included molesting five underage girls, four of whom were his sisters (both Jessa and her sister Jill have self-identified that they were among them), cheating on his wife, Anna Duggar, with the Ashley Madison website, and porn addiction.
But Jessa didn’t let that wreck her first wedding anniversary. With her baby’s due date coinciding with the celebration of her first wedding anniversary, the pregnant Duggar daughter enjoyed a fast food feast that included ice cream and French fries.
However, now that Jessa is awaiting the delayed birth of her baby, Duggar reportedly has some apprehensions, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry .
With Jill Duggar off to Central America, Jessa is worried that she’ll have a difficult birth experience just like her sister. Jill and Derick Dillard have no immediate plans to return, so Jessa is left without the sister who is a certified midwife.
It’s a Duggar family tradition to have the baby at home. However, Jessa is aware that Jill suffered through a 70-hour labor and then was rushed to the hospital for a C-section. Duggar doesn’t want to go to the hospital for the birth of her baby, but the absence of her more knowledgeable sister may cause her to have hesitations.
Jill’s son, Israel David Dillard, was born following an intense delivery experience, reported Us Weekly.
Initially, she intended to have her baby at home, but the contractions proved extremely painful.
“Contractions kicked in very hard and with not a lot of break in between,” she shared.
With Duggar matriarch Michelle Duggar working as part of the birth team, Jill suffered through two painful days before she abandoned her plan to have the baby at home and went to the hospital.
“With my water being broke, you don’t wanna introduce infection,” she explained.
The emergency surgery involving a C-section was required because of the baby’s breech position.
“It’s time for us to do what safety calls for and go with plan B,” said one physician.
Michelle put on a scrub suit to be with Jill in the operating room.
Now as Jessa waitswith some trepidation for the birth of her own baby, Duggar is amused by the tabloids reporting she already had her own delivery room drama, reported She Knows.
Ben shared their enjoyment over a tabloid that showed a beaming Jessa with the headline “Delivery Room Drama,” noting that Duggar sarcastically commented her joy in having the labor pains already done.
“We were surprised to find out that #BabySeewald was already born last week! Jessa says to tell y’all that she was relieved to find out that all that labor and delivery is already behind her….Haha! We both had a good laugh over this! #UnreliableSources Lol!” joked Ben.
