‘The Bachelor’ 2016 Rose Parade Float Features Ben Higgins Enjoying An Exotic Date
The Bachelor fans will get to ring in 2016 with ABC’s new leading man, Ben Higgins, days before the season premiere of the popular reality show. The network announced this week that Higgins will be the centerpiece on a float that Yahoo describes as a “flower-festooned diorama of one of the show’s patented exotic dates.”
Last year, Bachelor Chris Soules waved to fans from atop a massive float that featured champagne flutes, a mock Bachelor mansion, and a few corn husks to play up the season’s “Prince Farming” theme. Although Chris’ float was a show-stopper, the 2016 float is expected to be “over the top” in honor of the show’s 20th season.

The image above gives a glimpse of what’s to come when the float makes its debut at the 127th edition of the annual Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. Whether you are lucky enough to attend the parade or watch it on TV, you won’t be able to miss the Bachelor float — upon completion, it will be 55-feet long and 22-feet high.
The network’s official press release states that Bachelor Ben Higgins will sit on a lifeguard stand in the middle of the float “surrounded by spectacular visions of crashing floral waves, lush white sand beaches, floral-perfume trade winds and swaying palm trees.” Although Ben is from the small town of Warsaw, Indiana and currently lives in Denver, Colorado, the tropical scene represents the exotic dates that he and his ladies go on throughout the season.
“[It’s] the perfect fantasy adventure setting for The Bachelor. An actual working hot tub… dolphins bob up and down as they surf in the floral waves… a magnificent treasure chest, cascading with red roses, holds the custom-designed wedding rings. Carved tiki figures, sculptured Cattleya orchids and colorful yellow hibiscus frame this phenomenal tropical setting.”
The 2016 Bachelor Rose Parade float may not accurately represent all of Ben’s dates, but spoilers indicate that he will travel to more exotic locations than his predecessor, Chris Soules, did. Blogger Reality Steve states that Ben and his ladies have already traveled outside the United States twice, filming episodes in Mexico City and the Bahamas last month.

[Spoilers ahead]
Ben is currently filming his hometown dates with his final four girls, rumored to be Caila Quinn, JoJo (Jolene) Fletcher, Amanda Stanton, and Lauren Bushnell. Although many of his dates have been spoiled on social media this season, the location of his overnight dates and the final rose ceremony is still under wraps.

Will the finale be filmed in an exotic waterfront location surrounded by flowers depicted on the Bachelor Rose Parade float sketch? Reality Steve has very little intel about where the fantasy suite dates and final rose ceremony will be filmed but recently mentioned on his blog that Ben’s final three girls may head to Greece for the overnights.
Filming for the final rose ceremony is expected to take place on November 18. If information about the final dates leak out online, it won’t be long before fans who enjoy reading spoilers find out where Ben gives out his final rose.
Although filming for Season 20 of the Bachelor wraps up this month, the premiere won’t air until January 4, 2016. When you set your DVR to record Ben’s season, don’t forget to add the January 1 Rose Parade to your New Year’s Day to-do list.
Not only will fans get to see Ben Higgins on the Bachelor float, but it’s also possible several of the franchise’s alum will join him. Keep an eye out for Bachelor in Paradise lovebirds Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert and fan favorites Sean and Catherine Lowe, Trista and Ryan Sutter, plus Molly and Jason Mesnick.
