Air France Passengers Get To See ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ 2 Days Before U.S. Release
Those of you who are clambering to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens before it is released to cinemas on December 18 now finally have a way to do just that. You can get on an Air France flight, because the company is offering the opportunity to fly to France and then attend a screening of J.J Abrams’ highly-anticipated blockbuster, all of which will be a full two days before it is released in the U.S.
According to the Daily Mail, the French airline company is giving their passengers the chance to watch Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens on December 16.
Air France has confirmed the opportunity to attend advance screenings of The Force Awakens will be available on four of its Paris-bound flights that set off from the United States Of America on December 15. They are able to offer this promotion because they are working in conjunction with EuropaCorp CINEMAS.
These flights are the AF083 from San Francisco to Paris, AF065 from Los Angeles to Paris, and the AF011 and AF009 from New York to Paris.Rather than having to enjoy Star Wars: The Force Awakens on a tiny, small plane screen that moves at the volition of the person sat in front, these lucky passengers are actually getting the all-star treatment.
Registered travelers will be provided with free tickets to their screenings, as well as a free ride in a “dedicated Star Wars shuttle” that will take them to a nearby cinema, where they can watch the film in Paris the day after they land.
How can you get your hands on one of these lucky seats? Well, all you have to do is book a seat on one of the aforementioned flights before December 10, and then fill out a registration form on the Air France website.
Air France teased this once in a life-time opportunity on their website. Their promotion read as follows.
“Air France invites you to catch Star Wars: The Force Awakens on December 16th, in France! The movie will be shown in English.
Be part of our journey! Together with our partner, EuropaCorp CINEMAS, we are offering YOU an exclusive ‘Flight & Cinema’ package including your cinema ticket and a transfer from the airport to the movie theater.
After flying with Air France to Paris-Charles de Gaulle, you will experience with EuropaCorp CINEMAS, the most high level technology a cinema can provide. With a 18 meters wide screen, 4K Dual Projection and a high 3D technology developed by Dolby as well as an immersive Dolby ATMOS sound with more than 40 surround speakers you will remember your movie experience for a lifetime!
Book your flight tickets now and get your complimentary ride and movie ticket.”
In order to actually partake in this though you will have to spend around $1,500 on a round trip ticket to and from either of these locations.
That’s quite a hefty price to pay for die-hard Star Wars: The Force Awakens fans. But, imagine how gratifying it will feel when you will be able to tell all of your friends back home that you were one of the very first people to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens. As long as the film is actually any good, anyway.Obviously, if Star Wars: The Force Awakens turns out to be a flop, then it will have been a huge waste of time and money. In fact, if that’s the case, then you could end up being the butt of your friends’ jokes for splashing out so much on a plane ticket just to see a sub-par film. It may behoove any Star Wars fans going this route to plan to enjoy their trip to Paris, too.
Those fans that don’t want to take the risk can simply wait until December 18, when Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released across the globe.
