Brad Pitt On Angelina Jolie As A Boss: ‘I Trust Her With My Life’

Brad Pitt recently opened up to Vogue Magazine about his starring role with his wife, Angelina Jolie, in their new movie By The Sea. According to Pitt, having Jolie as his boss was, among other things, “sexy.”

Talking about the movie itself, Angelina Jolie directed the film as well as starring with her Hollywood hunk husband, Brad Pitt. Pitt reportedly said that he loved having Angelina in charge. In the interview he said that it was surprising how much he enjoyed the direction of his wife.

“She’s decisive, incredibly intuitive, and might I say sexy at her post. I trust her with my life.”

In the film, the famous Brangelina duo play the part of spouses. Set in mid-1970s France, the movie stars Angelina in the role of Vanessa, a former dancer, who travels to the country with her American writer husband, Roland, played by Pitt. The trip was a last ditch attempt to revive their ailing marriage.

According to Yahoo! Celebrity, while the couple in the film are struggling to revive their union, Pitt and Jolie are still wildly in love after just over a year in wedlock. Despite the constant divorce rumors doing the rounds of the gossip media, the couple thoroughly enjoyed working together on By The Sea.

According to Pitt, working on the film together gave them both more time with their six children, seven-year-old twins, Knox and Vivienne, nine-year-old Shiloh, Zahara, 10, Pax, 11 and 14-year old Maddox.

Brad explained that at the end of every day, they get to be parents, “greeting our lovely, crazy children and talking about their day, making sure they brush their teeth.”

In By The Sea, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt play the roles of an unhappily married couple, and despite the fact that Angelina recently admitted their marriage isn’t perfect, Jolie insists that the famous couple are nothing like their movie counterparts.

According to the interview for Vogue Magazine, Jolie recently said that she and Brad have their issues, but that if the “characters were even remotely close to our problems, we couldn’t have made the film.” Angelina added that By The Sea was the only film that she’s worked on that is completely based on her “own crazy mind.” She said that as artists, she and Pitt wanted to do something that took them out of their comfort zones.

“Just being raw actors. It’s not the safest idea. But life is short.”

Speaking in the video at the end of this article, Jolie talks about how you can never have a totally settled relationship and that “you can actually madly love the same person you wanna kill.”

She said that when she was writing the film’s script, she never assumed they would actually do it, so she wrote with “a certain kind of freedom.”

Pitt says, “We can experiment and play and it’s oddly a safer environment than any set I’ve been on before, so we let loose.”

Brad went on to say that “It’s the puzzle of picking out those things that get in the way of loving someone,” adding that a lot of it is the past, “a lot of it’s your own insecurities and a lot of it is wanting something so much that you focus too much on losing it.”

Brad Pitt then said that the movie was “absolutely challenging,” and was one of the most challenging things he had ever taken on.

Fans of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will be able to enjoy the film By The Sea when it opens in theaters on November 13 this year.
