‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 6 Spoilers — Who Will Join Jon Snow To Fight The White Walkers?
As production continues for the upcoming season of Game of Thrones, more and more details concerning the plot of Season 6 continue to be released. According to Watchers on the Wall, the latest reports indicate that Jon Snow may be set to fight the White Walkers when the hit fantasy drama returns to televisions next year.
In fact, Davos Seaworth is set to join up with Snow in order to defend the North from the White Walkers. To back up this claim, Liam Cunningham, who plays Seaworth in the series, was seen at a wrap party following the filming of the main battle scene in the North. While this doesn’t necessarily mean that his character will be joining Snow, his appearance at the set makes it seem likely that he will.
Furthermore, the idea that Seaworth would partner up with Snow does makes some sense, especially now that Stannis is done with. With that in mind, Seaworth will likely be searching for new endeavors as the series develops in Season 6.At the same time, Fashion & Style is reporting that a number of characters will be returning in the coming sixth season of Game of Thrones. These characters include the likes of Jamie Lannister and Brienne of Tarth, who will be coming back together during the Riverrun siege.
On a similar note, although it is not known if Tobias Menzies (Outlander) will reprise his role as Edmure Tully in Season 6, Gwendoline Christie was seen on the set for the siege at Riverrun. This could indicate that the character might head back to her home now that Sansa Stark is living with her Northern allies.
Speaking of reunions, Razdal mo Eraz, played by George Georgiou, is set to return, which doesn’t bode well for Daenerys. As fans will recall, the Yunkish nobleman made an attempt at Daenerys rule after he took his army and attacked Meereen.
Given his history, and the fact that Meereen is suffering through a spat of disease and famine, it is likely that Eraz might use the situation to his advantage and turn Daenerys’ supporters away from her.
Meanwhile, there are hints that seem to point to the notion that Myrcella Baratheon managed to live despite being poisoned by the Sand Snake. With that in mind, actress Nell Tiger Free, who plays Myrcella, recently posted an image on Instagram of herself standing outside of her trailer.“Myrcella in her chill wear,” Free wrote alongside the image. Does this mean her character is back?
While some are speculating that the photo is proof that her character lives on, there is a possibility that the actress is simply getting ready to film her character’s funeral. Whether this is the case or is she survived the poisoning is yet to be revealed.
Lastly, Watchers on the Wall is reporting that Peter Dinklage recently visited the set at Mesa Roldan in Spain. The actor was joined by the production location manager Pedro Araez, and his presence at the site could mean that he is getting ready to be a part of the filming.
Apparently, the scene is set to incorporate over forty different extras and the set had to be modified in order to incorporate the added people. This is an interesting development, especially considering that Dinklage’s character will be included in the scene.
Speaking of the set at Mesa Roldan, Maria Angeles Lopez recently posted some pictures on Twitter of the production in Spain. The images include a few shots of the main castle along with the road leading up to the tower.
Season 6 of Game of Thrones is expected to premiere sometime in the spring of 2016.
