Khloe Kardashian Quits ‘Keeping Up With Kardashians’ To Renew Lamar Odom Marriage: Kris Jenner Unhappy Over Decisions
Khloe Kardashian is doing all she can for her husband, Lamar Odom, now that they’ve put their plans to finalize their divorce away. As he continues to fight to regain his health after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel, Khloe reportedly has quit the Kardashian family’s money-making reality TV show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. And her “momager,” Kris Jenner, has her own views on both the news that they’ve called off the divorce as well as that Jenner may find her show in danger of losing one of its key cast members.
Known affectionately as KoKo and Lam-Lam, the couple are together in the hospital, where the 31-year-old reality TV star remains by the former NBA player’s side. The manager and mom of the Jenner and Kardashian clan commented on the news that the divorce was cancelled, reported Us Weekly.
“Nothing but love,” said Kris.
Jenner had been aware of the decision made that the family’s lawyer went to a judge to request that the divorce filings be withdrawn. Although KoKo had initially filed for divorce from Lam-Lam in 2013, the judge had not completed the final paperwork.
As the Inquisitr reported, that meant because the marriage legally was still in effect, Kardashian was responsible for all of Lamar’s medical decisions. She’s been closely involved in the multiple health care choices involved, from when to fly him to Los Angeles, where he remains hospitalized, to going with him for testing.
Kris Jenner, however, continues to have the role of momager for her daughters. And although the family has spawned multiple reality TV shows, it’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians that remains the big draw. What would happen if her daughter permanently quit the show, and what contracts are already in place that Jenner could potentially use to motivate her daughter to return?
“This is a very delicate and difficult time,” pointed out an insider. “And the most sensible thing to do at such a time is not make any big moves and put everything on hold.”
Kardashian has been doing precisely that from the moment she learned that Lamar had been discovered unconscious at a Nevada brothel. During the 72 hours in which he was in critical condition, Khloe stayed faithfully with him and has remained close to him.
Another source shared the stress that Kardashian has been experiencing from it all, adding that her mom, Kris, had been helpful in the initial stages of not knowing whether Odom would have any hope of recovery. And as the person responsible for Lamar’s medical decisions, Kardashian was especially anxious about the choices that she faced.
“Making these decisions is very hard. Kris came and was very helpful and supportive,” commented the insider.
While Kardashian’s relationship with James Harden is on hold, the family’s reality TV show in terms of Khloe’s participation also is on hold, reported Life & Style.
“She has no plans to resume filming Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and will continue to be at the hospital every day with Lamar,” said a source about Kardashian.
That’s causing stress for Kris. When Jenner learned that her daughter had made that choice, Kris immediately started wishing Kardashian would retract her decision, added the insider.
“For now, [Jenner is] hoping Khloé will change her mind. Kris isn’t ready to play hardball with her daughter by reminding her that she is contractually obligated to do the show.”
And it’s not just Kris. Other members of the Jenner family and Kardashian clan also are worried that the 31-year-old reality TV star is ignoring all her other responsibilities, including taking care of herself, in order to focus on the former NBA champion player and his health.
“It’s her calling. Lamar needs her more than ever and at the same time, she needs him too,” shared a source.
It might seem that Kardashian could continue Keeping Up with the Kardashians since she has returned to southern California, but Kris Jenner has raised a daughter as stubborn as her momager, reported Radar Online.
“Kris wasn’t happy about Khloe’s decision because she is a huge part of the show,” noted the source. “The rest of the family is also very concerned… This recovery could take months.”
Moreover, the source revealed that certain commitments already are in place that the 31-year-old reality TV star must fulfill, and if she fails to show up, multiple problems could result for Jenner as the momager.
Kris also is worried that her daughter paid $120,000 to fly her husband in a special helicopter back to southern California, but Jenner for now is being careful about pressuring her daughter too much.
