‘RHOC’ Vicki Gunvalson Talks ‘Betrayal,’ Claims Tamra Judge Betrayed Shannon Beador

In her tenth season on The Real Housewives of Orange County, Vicki Gunvalson found herself in the middle of most of the drama. She started the season off pretty low-key, but it didn’t stay that was for long. During the second half of the season, Vicki’s on-again boyfriend Brooks Ayers and whether he was faking cancer or not became the focus for most of the ladies.

Among the most vocal about Ayers’ health were newcomer Meghan King Edmonds and Vicki’s former confidant Shannon Beador, although, by the end of the season, all of her co-stars agreed that Ayers’ stories and medical records did not add up or make sense. In her latest Bravo blog, and in the midst of the RHOC Season 10 reunion, Vicki finally addresses whether she thinks Brooks was actually sick.

“As I write this blog, I have so many mixed emotions, but mostly it’s sadness and betrayal. The constant subject line of Brooks’ cancer, his choice of treatment, and if he was ‘faking’ it or not has gotten out of control. My stance is I do not believe he faked cancer, as there are way too many people involved, way too many doctor visits and way too many doctor reports which would be very difficult to falsify. As I said at the reunion, I didn’t have enough information that he does have cancer, and I didn’t have enough information that he doesn’t.”

Will fans ever know the real story about Brooks’ cancer? Probably not. Will Vicki Gunvalson ever admit that she knew he was faking the illness? Probably not.

Fans of the show were probably hoping that Vicki and Brooks would produce viable medical records to prove that he was sick, like Shannon, Meghan, and Heather Dubrow asked the former couple to do multiple times. Assuming that it would finally put all of the fake cancer drama aside.

During a party to celebrate Tamra Judge’s baptism, Ayers’ cancer was brought into question (again), and Vicki’s brother’s girlfriend, Rhonda, asked Shannon Beador if anyone asked her to produce documents to prove that her husband cheated on her. A low blow for sure.

Shannon was shocked by the question, mostly because she felt like she had confided in Vicki about her marriage troubles and that Vicki shared information that she should not have. Vicki claims that Shannon was just embarrassed to have her husband’s affair brought up and that everyone on the show already knew about it — because Tamra Judge had already told them all.

“I never betrayed her, she was just embarrassed that it was exposed again when it was supposed to be about badgering me,” Gunvalson continued. “I knew what David and Shannon shared this season, and it was Shannon’s decision to reveal the affair so I didn’t think it was a secret to tell my brother. All the ladies already knew, so for me to tell my brother privately was NOT betraying her.What you don’t know is that last year Tamra actually told the group about David’s affair at a dinner we were all at, and even disclosed the woman’s name and information about her. Bottom line here is Shannon knew that Heather, Tamra, and Lizzie all knew and by me telling my brother privately in my home was not any secret.”

Even though she seems to give her side to the story in her blog post, Vicki is not out of the woods with her co-stars or her daughter, Briana Culberson. Still coming up in parts two and three of the Real Housewives of Orange County Season 10 reunion, Briana reveals more appalling behavior by Brooks Ayers, and Vicki is put on the hot seat about Brooks Ayers and whether or not he was ever really sick.
