Throughout the day Monday, news outlets reported that Khloé Kardashain would transfer Lamar Odom to a Los Angeles hospital as soon as he was able to be moved.
Now, it seems as if that plan may have become a reality. People magazine is reporting that Lamar Odom has been moved from Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas to a Los Angeles-area hospital. According to the report from People , the transfer happened via a medical helicopter.
According to the report, the former Khloé & Lamar star is not alone.
“Khloé and several nurses are with him. Lamar still can’t walk but has left the hospital in a bed.”
According to a report from E! News , Lamar’s condition had to be stable before the 35-year-old celebrity could be moved to California. Additionally, the logistics of moving Lamar to a hospital in Los Angeles proved to be difficult, as Odom’s height made it difficult to transport the former basketball player. Lamar Odom is 6-feet-10-inches tall.
Lamar was admitted to the Las Vegas hospital Tuesday after he was found unconscious by two employees at the Love Ranch brothel in Nevada. According to the 911 call, Odom was foaming at the mouth and had blood coming from his nose. The former Keeping Up With the Kardashians star had allegedly taken a dangerous combination of cocaine and a sexual-performance enhancer called Reload.
Odom spent the first four days in the hospital in a coma before he woke up and began to respond to doctors. Initially, it was reported that the former Los Angeles Lakers player was on a ventilator and unable to breath on his own. Multiple news outlets have confirmed that Odom has been taken off the ventilator.
Estranged wife Khloé Kardashian has been by Odom’s side since the news of his situation broke on Wednesday, and reports indicate that she has been making medical decisions for her long-time love.
Khloé isn’t the only member of the Kardashian-Jenner family who has spent time with Odom throughout the entire ordeal. Khloé’s sister Kim , Kourtney, Kylie, and Kendall have all been supportive of Lamar’s recovery. Momager Kris Jenner has been seen at the hospital in Las Vegas, as well.

Lamar’s recovery has been called miraculous, but he’s still got a long way to go, according to People . A source told the magazine that the former KUWTK star’s situation is still precarious.
“He’s responsive, but there are so many things that could go wrong right now, and the doctors have still been guarded. Khloé has been praying a lot, both to herself and out loud to Lamar. She wants him to know that she’s still on his side, and that everyone is praying for him.”
Initially, TMZ reported that Odom had a 50/50 chance of survival. The media outlet reported that four of Lamar’s organs had failed, and the outlet was among those that reported that Odom was initially unable to breath on his own.
The E! News report indicates that Lamar is doing much better and can move his arms and legs, though he is still unable to stand on his own. According to the report, Odom is still on dialysis for kidney failure and and is no longer wearing an oxygen mask. The news outlet did warn of potential cognitive struggles in the future, though the most recent CT scan “came back clean.” Additionally, E! News reports that Odom can swallow on his own and is able to communicate using hand signals.
