Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez & Ariana Grande Are The Definition Of Squad Goals

Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, and Ariana Grande have defined exactly what “squad goals” means. It looks like fans may have a new girl power squad to keep their eyes on!

Just to make sure everyone is hip to the new trend, a “squad” is a group of friends, and when one says “squad goals,” they are simply stating that they wish their friendship or group of friends was as “cool” as another.

Okay, now that we have had our hipster lesson for the day, how exactly are Demi, Selena, and Ariana defining squad goals this weekend? The three artists took to Twitter to show one another some serious love after both Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato released their latest albums! Demi’s album, Confident, dropped on Friday, October 16, while Selena’s latest album, Revival, dropped the previous Friday, October 9.

Ariana Grande started the Twitter love fest by posting a message to her followers stating that she had to “hit up” Demi on the night of Demi’s Confident release because she seemingly loved Demi’s vocal work. Demi, of course, went and shared the love by retweeting Ariana’s message and replying with one of her own.

Looks like these two have no problem sharing the love! And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, Ariana brought Selena Gomez into the mix by telling fans that she was in love with Selena’s new album, Revival, and also adding in that she loves “seeing young women doing what they love & kicking a** at it,” to which Selena simply replied with an “amen” and a few heart emojis, according to E! News.

While fans of each of these singers may be squealing with joy, it wasn’t long ago that there was a rumored feud going on between two of the three girls in this little love fest. It was once believed that after their Disney Channel days, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato had a falling out of sorts. The original rumor stated that Selena and Demi parted ways due to reasons such as Demi’s rounds in rehab and Selena’s off-again, on-again relationship with Justin Bieber. Well, it seemed as if the two had finally reconciled as of September, though Demi’s Complex interview then fueled yet another rumor after she stated that her and Selena haven’t talked “in ages.”

According to a previous report by the Inquisitr, Demi’s Complex interview stirred up quite the fan frenzy when it was stated that she and Selena haven’t talked in some time. When she was asked during the interview if she still talks to Selena, she reportedly answered with a resounding “Nope.” She then reportedly went on to say that the two had drifted apart.

The release of this interview came only days after Demi posted a photo to her Instagram with Selena. The caption read “look at how #coolforthesummer we are.. Friends for years, #sameoldlove” followed by the twin emojis and some hearts.

Fans, understandably, were a little a little confused: were they friends again or weren’t they? Demi took to twitter to clear up that confusion.

So the love was back on between the two, and by the looks of it, a third has joined their power squad. Taylor Swift better watch out — her girl squad may be in trouble!

While Ariana shared the love with Demi and Selena, Demi made sure to share the love by giving Ariana a shout out for her new single, “Focus,” which is set to release on October 30, according to Us Weekly.
