Khloe And Kim Kardashian Are By Lamar Odom’s Side As He Is On A Ventilator

Lamar Odom is in a Las Vegas hospital on a ventilator and fighting for his life after being found unconscious at a Nevada brothel. He was airlifted from Pahrump, Nevada, after one of the prostitutes found him unresponsive on Tuesday. When first reported by TMZ, Odom was at the hospital alone with no posse and no family, but he is now surrounded by his Kardashian family.

Lamar Odom arrived at the brothel on Saturday, and reportedly had little or no sleep while taking “herbal Viagra.” They tried to airlift him to Las Vegas, but they couldn’t because his 6’10” frame was too large for a helicopter. Instead, they drove him by ambulance. TMZ also reported in an update that the ambulance crew had to save his life several times during the ride, and he was intubated.

Odom, who has had substance abuse problems, has lost two close friends to drug related issues in the past months, which had left him depressed. Hollywood Life is saying that the prognosis isn’t good. At this report, Odom is in a coma with heart failure, plus lung and kidney complications.

“As we previously reported, Khloe was ‘hysterical’ when she heard this devastating news, and rushed to be with her estranged husband with her mom, Kris Jenner, 59, and sister, Kim Kardashian, 34, by her side. Although the reality star filed for divorce in 2013, the split has not been made official, and she admittedly still checks up on Lamar and still ‘loves’ and ‘cares for’ him.”

Though Odom and Kardashian are estranged, they are still legally married.

NBC News reports that Odom’s collapse took place at the Love Ranch South, owned by Dennis Hof. Hof initially expressed concern for Odom, but now seems more concerned for his business.

“It’s a real shock,” Hof told NBC News. “It’s terrible that our business is being disrupted. Here’s a guy who just wanted to have a good time and be private, and it’s tragic.”

Lamar Odom has struggled for much of his life, starting with the loss of his mother to cancer when Odom was 10. Odom’s father, who he simply calls Joe, is a lifelong addict who appeared in Odom’s life again after he joined the NBA.

“Odom was suspended during the 2000-01 season for violating the NBA’s anti-drug policy for the second time in eight months. During the 2010-11 season, a cousin he was close to died, and Odom was a passenger in a vehicle involved in an accident in New York that killed a cyclist.”

USA Today has shared the outpouring of love and concern for Odom from celebrities and athletes. As reported, the Kardashians are by his side, but his former NBA friends have reached out, too. The Miami Heat dedicated a Twitter post to Odom to convey their well wishes to him and his family at us time.

The Chicago Tribune is disputing claims that Odom had not slept at the ranch since arriving on Saturday, contradicting reports that he was on a bender with no sleep. Odom had just gone to the brothel to get out of Los Angeles and have a good time.

“Hof said Odom was ‘happy, he was sleeping every night,’ while visiting, but two women went to check on Odom on Tuesday afternoon after not hearing from him since early morning, and found him face down and unconscious.”
