Drake Moving On From Serena Williams? Rapper Gets Cozy With New Woman After Denying Dating Rumors
Drake and Serena Williams may have been adamant about shooting down rumors of their alleged engagement last week, but it looks like Drake is already moving on from Serena Williams after the “Energy” rapper was spotted hanging out with a new mystery woman over the weekend.
Drake was photographed heading to a trendy club in Hollywood on Sunday, where paparazzi captured a mystery lady, who is being deemed a “Serena Williams lookalike,” exiting the same vehicle as Drake just moments after the rapper made his way inside the venue, the Daily Mail reports.
In addition, the site notes that the woman in question was also escorted into the establishment by one of Drake’s “minders,” further suggesting that the duo may have been on a date.
Similarly, TMZ reports that witnesses inside the club say that Drake was spending a lot of time with the woman who entered and exited just minutes after Drake did but note that the rapper left the hot spot “alone.”
The news comes just days after Drake made headlines for his rumored ongoing relationship to Serena Williams after reps for both Drake and Serena shot down reports suggesting that they had gotten engaged in Drake’s native Toronto last week.
While neither Drake nor Serena have confirmed the nature of their relationship, a source close to both Drake and Williams explained to E! News that “they are friends and nothing more.”
Despite the lack of an official romance between Drake and Serena, the duo has made headlines since August regarding their rumored relationship.
Rumors of a rekindled romance between Drake and Serena began after the duo was photographed making out in Cincinnati following Williams’ victory in the WTA tournament.
Just days later, friends of Serena’s spoke to TMZ regarding the nature of the tennis star’s romance to Drake, telling the site that while Williams has fancied Drake since they first dated in 2011, everyone is worried that Drake will break Serena’s heart again after their romance ended badly in 2012.
Serena’s friends explain that while Drake and Williams were close when they first got together four years ago, Serena called off the relationship because Drake “had his eyes on a few other chicks at the same time.”
In addition, Williams’ fans lashed out at Drake last month after the rapper was deemed a “bad luck charm” and a distraction for the tennis champion after Serena shockingly lost to Roberta Vinci in the U.S. Open.
Despite the negativity surrounding their alleged romance, Serena was later spotted supporting Drake at the opening of his Toronto-based restaurant, Fring’s, where sources from inside the restaurant reportedly saw Williams hanging out with Drake’s mom during the celebratory event.
Drake appeared to return the favor to Serena by showing his support for Williams during her HSN Fashion Show during New York Fashion Week, where she showcased her first collection. Drake was photographed in the front row of Williams’ fashion show and even featured some of his own music during the closing of Serena’s show.

Just weeks later, Serena Williams was spotted dancing backstage to Drake’s music during one of the rapper’s concerts, further suggesting that their romance was heating up.
Most recently, Serena made headlines for gushing over Drake’s toned body after the rapper shared a shirtless photo of himself on Instagram, prompting Williams to compare the “Hotline Bling” rapper to He-Man.

While fans continue to gush over Drake and Serena Williams as a power couple, it looks like Drake has decided to move on and separate himself from the dating rumors.
Currently, Drake is working on finishing his highly anticipated LP Views From the 6 and has announced that the music video for “Hotline Bling” will be dropping sometime this week.
