Melissa Gorga Gets New Hairstyle For New ‘RHONJ’ Season, Jacqueline Laurita Hangs Out With Amber Marchese

It seems that viewers will indeed see Melissa Gorga on season 7 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. On Saturday, her hairstylist shared a photo of Melissa after he changed her hair color. He wrote that with a new season of Real Housewives comes new hair.

The photo shows that Melissa now has dark brown hair with warm highlights. Besides getting her hair colored, Melissa also had her hair cut. Layers all around add volume to her long hair, which extends down a little past her armpits.

“New season new hair #RHOC,” wrote the hairstylist, Julius Michael.

A look at the hairstylist’s Instagram page shows that Melissa is not the only housewife he does hair for. He has also styled hair for Shannon Beador and Tamra Judge, from The Real Housewives of Orange County, when they’re in the New York area for appearances on Andy Cohen’s talk show, Watch What Happens Live.

In late September, E! News reported that along with Melissa, Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita are “almost certain” to return to the show for the new season, with filming expected to start as early as mid-November. Teresa is due to finish her prison sentence around the holidays.

Jacqueline, who, like Melissa, had a tumultuous relationship with Teresa during her time on the show, hung out with a fellow New Jersey housewife on Thursday. Melissa posted a photo of herself hanging out with Amber Marchese, who joined the show on the sixth season, and a Real Housewives blogger. The meet up seems to have been purely to catch up with one another rather than to film a scene, as Jacqueline wrote that she was catching up with Amber.

When a viewer asked Jacqueline why she was hanging out with Amber, calling her and her husband, Jim Marchese, jerks, Jacqueline defended Amber. Jacqueline wrote that Amber has always been very kind to her so she has nothing bad to say about her.

“Actually, she has always been very kind to me so I have nothing bad to say about her. People have different experiences with people. Mine have always been positive because I put out positive. When people react negatively towards me, I react authentically.”

While both Jacqueline Laurita and Amber Marchese were on season 6 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, viewers didn’t really see them together since Jacqueline had only a recurring role that began mid-way through the season. Jacqueline’s scenes were mostly limited to interactions with Kathy Wakile, who was a “friend” of the housewives on the sixth season.

Amber and Melissa were actually friends when they were in their 20s, years prior to either of them joining Real Housewives. While they went through some drama with one another on season 6, they seem to now be on good terms. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Melissa and Amber enjoyed a girls’ night out together in early August.

Prior to seeing Melissa Gorga on season 7 The Real Housewives of New Jersey, fans will get her to see her on the three-part special The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In. The special, which premieres on Sunday, October 11, at 8/7c on Bravo, will show how Teresa Giudice’s family is doing while she’s serving her prison sentence. A preview for the special shows that viewers will get to hear Teresa as she talks on the phone with her family. They’ll also see Joe and Melissa Gorga hanging out with Joe Giudice and their neices.

In an interview with OK! Magazine, posted on Friday, Melissa talked about the special. She called it “emotional” and warned that viewers may cry watching it.

“It’s an emotional special. You might shed a tear or two. It’s heartwarming to see how families come together in a time of crisis.”

So are things completely fine between Melissa Gorga and her sister-in-law Teresa Giudice now? In an interview with E! News, posted on Friday, Joe Giudice said that Melissa has not visited Teresa in prison yet. When asked why that was, Joe said that Teresa just probably rather see her brother.

“She’s fine with her brother, I guess she’s fine with Melissa. Joe went and visited her a couple times…[Teresa’s] fine just seeing her brother. I wouldn’t say that they’re not great or great, she’d just rather see her brother. I don’t know the reason.”
