Jennifer Aniston: New Details Emerge About Super-Secret Wedding
Jennifer Aniston was married to Justin Theroux on August 5. While it was meant to be a very private affair, Howard Stern has made sure more and more details have emerged about the special day.
The wedding of Jennifer Aniston made headlines as soon as it happened, but her wedding is back in the spotlight as her now-husband, Justin Theroux, is making talk show appearances to promote his HBO series, The Leftovers.
The wedding between Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux was so secret that most of their guests were not aware that a wedding was actually happening. Instead, guests were told that it was a birthday party for host Jennifer Aniston.
As Headlines and Global News reports, the wedding between Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux was a star-studded event. Fellow Friends stars Lisa Kudrow and Courtney Cox attended, as did Emily Blunt and her husband John Krasinski. Talk show host Chelsea Handler was in attendance, as was Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia DeRossi. Most notable of all of the guests, though, was radio personality Howard Stern.
The week following the wedding, Howard Stern openly gushed about details of the wedding on his Sirius XM radio show. Howard Stern focused on the speech of guest Jimmy Kimmel who became quite emotional during his toast. According to Vanity Fair, Howard Stern said Jimmy Kimmel’s speech was impressive.
“Jimmy was the preacher. He did a beautiful job. I didn’t think he’d get through it. Ellen was mad that I made fun of Jimmy for crying.”
Justin Theroux echoed the remarks of Howard Stern when he visited Good Morning America.
“It was exactly what you would want him to do. He was extremely funny, kept things extremely light, it was extremely touching, cried a little bit—he did—well, everyone did, and it was the perfect tone for the night.”
Jimmy Kimmel was not the only one who spoke at Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s wedding. According to ABC News, Howard Stern also contributed some words at the wedding.
“I’m very friendly with Justin… I like him, I really admire him. I even said in my speech to them that if one of my daughters brought home a guy like Justin, I’d be very pleased.”
Howard Stern also referenced the strict secrecy at the wedding between Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, referencing the no cell phone policy that Jennifer Aniston enacted to keep the wedding a private event.
“They’re so secretive, those two. I don’t want to take a picture of you two! I really don’t. I want my cellphone so after I make this speech I can call my car and get … out of here!”
While Howard Stern spoke at length about the guests at the wedding for Jennifer Aniston, he had few details about other elements. He briefly mentioned the outdoor décor.
“There was a table, and then you sit down and the chairs were called poufs, like little pillow poufs.”
It has been almost two months since Jennifer Aniston married Justin Theroux, and the two seem to be settling nicely into married life. Justin Theroux finished his Good Morning America interview with some sweet sentiments about new wife Jennifer Aniston.
“It’s fantastic. Something really does shift in a wonderful way and it refocuses things and in a weird way it was a long time coming… You relax into it in a certain way—I can’t explain it.”
Through the musings of Howard Stern, it is evident that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have surrounded themselves with friends that wish nothing but love and happiness for them.
