‘RHOC’ Vicki Gunvalson And Brooks Ayers Breakup: She Heads To ‘Detox’ Amid Fake Cancer Allegations

The drama continues to ramp up surrounding Vicki Gunvalson and her former boyfriend, Brooks Ayers. In light of all the allegations that Ayers has been lying about his cancer diagnosis, the Real Housewives of Orange County star is now seeking a little retreat in order to get away from all the rumors and scandal.

According to Us Magazine, Gunvalson recently went on a detox retreat in order to deal with the ongoing rumors concerning her former boyfriend. In fact, Gunvalson took to Instagram to show off photos from her retreat, which included a spa session in Santa Barbara, California, at Bacara Resort & Spa.

“The start of our detox retreat at @bacararesortsb with @skyranchfitness and @clubdetox_oc. Yoga, meditation, hiking, massage and healthy eating is what’s in store for me this weekend,” Gunvalson wrote alongside one image.

The photo featured Gunvalson posing with three of her friends, which included Marisa Kenson, during one of the nights of their getaway.

The following morning, Vicki Gunvalson posted another picture of her breakfast at the resort.

“Great way to start the morning before my hike @bacararesorts, @clubdetox_oc, @marisakenson, #healthyeating, #freshberries, #detox, #juicing,” she wrote alongside the image of a fruit bowl and bottle of detox juice.

In addition to the two photos, the reality star posted another picture of her and two friends wearing green Club Detox shirts.

“I love detoxing and spending this weekend with people that inspire me and believe in me,” she caption the image. “Thank you ladies for allowing me a stress free day. #clubdetoxoc #juicing #cleansingyourmindandbody.”

Gunvalson’s activity on social media and the detox retreat comes in the midst of allegations that her former boyfriend, Ayers, is lying about being diagnosed with cancer. With her co-star on the show, Meghan King Edmonds, leading the charges against Ayers, some of Gunvalson’s other friends are also starting to show some doubt about Ayers’ cancer, which has clearly begun to weigh on Gunvalson.

In fact, Edmonds has been working hard to disprove that Ayers was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. In recent episodes of the reality show, Edmonds presented fans with the evidence for why she believes Ayers’ is lying, which has caused the other ladies on the show question Gunvalson about the issue.

Meanwhile, Ayers has not remained silent. In his interview with Us Weekly, he discussed the allegations surrounding his cancer and stated that he is willing to take legal action if Edmonds doesn’t stop spreading the rumors.

“Meghan has scoffed that, ‘Oh my God, Brooks is threatening to sue me.’ I have significant grounds if she doesn’t change her ways. This is defamation,” he stated in the interview.

At the same time, Ayers also addressed the reports that he was seen partying it up in Fort Lauderdale. As an explanation for these sightings, Ayers stated that he wasn’t going through chemotherapy at the time fans spotted him having a good time.

Although Ayers’ and Gunvalson have decided to breakup since the filming of the current season of the Real Housewives of Orange County, Ayers admitted that he and Gunvalson still talk to each other, though their conversations have been few and far between.

“I’ve talked to her once in the last couple of weeks,” Ayers explained. “We’ve emailed and texted on occasion.”

Despite their split, and in light of Vicki Gunvalson’s recent detox trip, it is clear that she is still dealing with all the drama surrounding Ayers. As this season begins to wrap up, things are likely to only get worse for the two as the questions concerning Ayers and his cancer continue to be the central focus of the reality show.
