Rihanna Dissing Chris Brown With Travis Scott Relationship? ‘BBHMM’ Singer Not Speaking To Ex
Rihanna and Chris Brown may remain amicable exes since calling off their on-again-off-again relationship in 2013, but it appears Rihanna and Brown’s ongoing friendship has come to an end after reports began implying that Rihanna is dating Travis Scott.
Despite numerous reports that suggest Rihanna and Chris Brown are close friends following their abrupt split two years ago, sources close to Brown are speaking out against the rumors by insisting that Rihanna hasn’t reached out to Brown since igniting dating reports with rapper Travis Scott.
Not long after Brown made headlines last month for his court victory in an ongoing battle with baby mama Nia Guzman over daughter Royalty, several reports began suggesting that Rihanna had reached out to Brown to offer her congratulations to her ex.
According to Hollywood Life, Rihanna reportedly sent Chris Brown a friendly text message to offer her support and well-wishes after learning that he won joint custody over his 1-year-old daughter.
An alleged source close to Rihanna and Chris Brown alleges that Rih was “jumping for joy” that Brown had been awarded joint custody over Royalty and explains that Rihanna texted him “the minute she heard the news” in order to offer her congratulations.
Despite the claims, sources close to Chris explain to Urban Islandz that Rihanna has not spoken to Brown since she reportedly began dating Travis Scott.
The source explains that any reports suggesting that Brown and Rihanna have been speaking to one another in regards to Brown’s recent court hearing are “false,” noting that Chris hasn’t spoken to Rihanna since she began dating Travis.
“Every day we see a new story about Rihanna and Chris Brown and while some of it is true, the vast majority of these reports are false.”
The site also alleges that after one outlet posted a story on Instagram claiming that Rihanna had reached out to Brown following his custody hearing over Royalty, Chris took to the photo-sharing site to dispel rumors by revealing, “Well, that didn’t happen.”
While Chris Brown and Rihanna may not be on speaking terms at the moment, the source insists that the former couple continues to remain close friends.
“[Chris Brown] and Rihanna have been close friends for years despite their past. They don’t get involved with each other’s personal lives like who one is dating and s*** like that,” the source explains, noting that there’s nothing but “love” and “friendship” between them.
The insider concludes their statement regarding Rihanna and Brown’s friendship by noting that fans shouldn’t read too far into the rumors surrounding the former couple.
News of Rihanna and Brown’s falling out comes on the heels of reports that suggest Rihanna is heating up her romance to Scott.
The Mirror spoke to a source close to Rihanna who explains that Rih has “fallen hard” for the Rodeo rapper and is planning on bringing him to meet her mother in the near future.
“The ultimate test for Travis will be meeting the tough-talking matriarch of the family, her mum Monica Braithwaite, who is fiercely protective over her daughter,” the source reveals.
The insider goes on to note that while Rihanna has had flings with other men this summer, including Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton and Real Madrid soccer star Karim Benzema, her other romances were “completely different” than what she currently has with Scott.
“She was never fully serious about [Lewis Hamilton],” Rihanna’s insider alleges, explaining that Rih’s friends feel that Travis Scott has been her most committed relationship since she dated Chris Brown years ago.
Currently, neither Rihanna nor Travis Scott have officially confirmed the rumors surrounding their alleged relationship.
