Drake’s ‘Hotline Bling’ Music Video Is Coming Soon, Fans Freak Out Over Announcement On Twitter
Drake’s latest hit, “Hotline Bling,” is still climbing the Hot 100 charts despite its July 2015 release, but it looks like Drake is only going to skyrocket the success of the sultry hit after the music video for “Hotline Bling” drops in the near future.
Drake took to Instagram on Sunday, October 4, to tease the highly anticipated music video for “Hotline Bling,” assuring fans that the single’s music video accompaniment is “coming soon.”

Fans took to social media to express their excitement over the impending video for “Hotline Bling,” with most alleging that the video could be Drake’s best to date.
“PSA: HOTLINE BLING MUSIC VIDEO COMING OUT SOON…THIS HAS BEEN A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT OKAY,” one fan wrote on Twitter shortly after Drake made the official announcement on Instagram.

While Drake is known for spending a considerable amount of time filming his music videos, Drizzy received mixed reviews regarding his last music video release for “Energy.”
Drake’s music video for “Energy” dropped in early July and was directed by Fleur & Manu via Apple Music, seeing as Drake has an ongoing contract with Apple’s new music streaming service.
In the video, Drake references several pop culture icons such as Miley Cyrus, Oprah Winfrey, and Justin Bieber by superimposing his face onto the bodies of various celebrities in the eyebrow-raising video, People reports.
The news comes on the heels of reports that confirm Drake’s status as one of only four artists to ever successfully have 100 tracks charted on the Hot 100, Forbes reports.
Drake is currently behind the cast of the musical drama series, Glee, who has 207 entries on the chart, followed by Lil Wayne with 127 entries, and Elvis Presley with 108 entries.
Seeing as Drake’s first entry onto the chart occurred only eight years ago and his highly anticipated LP, Views From The 6, is due out any week now, analysts are predicting that Drake could dethrone the likes of Wayne and Presley with the new project.
This week alone, Drake holds a staggering 13 spots on the Hot 100, with eight coming from his new collaborative mixtape with Future titled, What A Time To Be Alive.
Drake’s announcement for the music video for “Hotline Bling” comes just one day after the solo single broke through the top five on the Hot 100 chart to become one of his best-charting hits to date.
With Drake’s second mixtape release of 2015 already seeing great success on the Hot 100, it’s likely that Drizzy will see equal, if not greater, chart performance with the soon-to-be-released, Views From The 6.
In a rare interview with The Fader last month, Drake opens up about his progress on Views and admits that the project will be released “imminently.”
Speaking on his recording process for the album, Drake admits that he had to spend a considerable amount of time in his native Toronto to ensure that he could record alongside longtime friend and producer, Noah “40” Shebib.
“We’ve grown a lot over the years,” Drake says of his working relationship with Shebib.
“He used to be the guy that would track me in hotel rooms at 4 a.m. and now he is not that guy, I have another guy that does that,” Drake explains, adding, “If I want to make the album I want to make, I have to go find him. I have to go sit with him, and we have to really put in effort.”
While it’s clear that Drake has put in a tremendous amount of effort into his music career thus far in 2015, fans are more than eager to see what has gone into creating the music video for “Hotline Bling.”
