TJ Jackson: Mother Of Tito Jackson’s Sons, Delores ‘Dee Dee’ Martes, Died In 1994, Plus ‘Jacksons: The Next Generation’ Premieres Tonight On Lifetime
TJ Jackson’s mother, Delores “Dee Dee’ Martes,” died back in 1994. And now her boys, whom she always referred to as the “three Ts,” according to People, will be kicking off their own reality show on the Lifetime network. The Jacksons: The Next Generation will follow the lives of Michael Jackson’s gorgeous nephews: Taj Jackson, aka Toriano Adaryll Jackson II (oldest), Taryll Adren Jackson (middle), and Tito Joe Jackson, aka T.J. Jackson (youngest). All three boys are the sons of Tito Jackson and his former wife, Delores “Dee Dee” Martes.
In Lifetime’s sneak peek trailer for The Jacksons: The Next Generation, we see a conversation between Katherine Jackson and her grandson, where it is conveyed that one of Katherine’s daughter-in-laws had passed away, leaving many viewers baffled as to the name of the woman who died. For those who don’t remember, TJ Jackson’s mother was found dead at a home in California in 1994. The boys were told that their mother had died accidentally in the pool. Her death occurred at her boyfriend’s home. That man was 59-year-old businessman Donald Bohana. Delores “Dee Dee” Martes’ sons were convinced that someone had harmed their mother. After police reopened the case, the autopsy report found that her death was not accidental and that she had sustained several injuries and abrasions to her body.
Donald Bohana told police that he discovered his girlfriend’s body after leaving the pool area. Once he discovered her, he tried to save her life, which left some bruising on her body, according to his story. People who knew Dee Dee Martes say that she was unable to swim and would have never allowed herself to be alone at the deep end of a pool. The Jackson family did not believe the story, and Dee Dee’s sons, who were immediately suspicious, filed a wrongful death suit. Justice came for them several years later, when Bohana was finally found guilty for Delores Martes’ death.
The death left Taj, Taryll, and TJ Jackson broken for a while, in fact, her death devastated the entire Jackson family. In the trailer, Katherine Jackson tells her grandson that she had always thought of Dolores as her own daughter. Dolores was only 40-years-old at the time of her death.
Since that time, the Jackson family has had a number of setbacks and tragedies, but they have always managed to work through them and stay together as a strong family unit. The death of singer Michael Jackson in 2009 was the latest tragedy to hit the Jackson family.
Today, Taj Jackson, Taryll Jackson, and TJ Jackson are continuing to fulfill their mother’s dreams of being well-grounded, successful young men. Dee Dee Martes always told her sons to stick together and support one another, and it seems that they have done just that by remaining close as brothers. They went on to finish their education and have enjoyed some success in the music industry with the release of their albums: Brotherhood, The Lost Album, and Identity. TJ Jackson once dated Kim Kardashian.
