Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus To Appear On ‘SNL’ Together?
Nicki Minaj wants to bury the hatchet with Miley Cyrus.
The question is, does Nicki want to bury the metaphoric hatchet or a real one in Miley?
That question could potentially be answered as soon as Saturday as Cyrus is set to host Saturday Night Live.
A new report by Hollywood Life said that Minaj would entertain an offer to join Miley Cyrus on stage in a comic skit. An unidentified source close to the “Anacoda” singer said it would be on her terms if Minaj and Cyrus were to perform together on stage.
“The only way she’d ever consider doing some type of comedy skit is if she annihilates Miley in some way. She’d have to pulverize her into the ground or sit on her face with her big booty … Nicki must win at all costs, including in comedy.”
Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj have been friendly in the past despite their recent spat. The two presented Madonna at the 2015 Grammy Awards, and Cyrus and Minaj held hand before the ceremony.
However, if Minaj doesn’t show up on set Saturday, the insider said she will be watching. Nicki will be watching to see if Cyrus decides to talk about her or makes any references to the 2015 MTV Video Music Award confrontation the two had.
“Nicki’s tired of playing games with these kids in Hollywood and if Miley’s going to attack her on SNL, it’s going to be open season on her Hannah Montana a**.”
The Nicki Minaj source continued to dish about what she really thinks about Miley Cyrus in an interview conducted for a separate Hollywood Life article.
“Comedy aside, Nicki thinks Miley is a little diva who says inappropriate things about people. She craves attention by taking off her clothes and showing her teenage boy body all over social media. Nicki thinks she fails every time and needs to keep her little clothes on. Nicki also takes what Miley says about her personally. Miley has a [penchant] for going too far and not knowing when to bow down and show respect.”
The issue between Minaj and Cyrus began just before the VMA’s as Miley was being interviewed for The New York Times. In the interview, Cyrus slammed the “The Night Is Still Young” singer, saying she made the VMA nominations a self-centered affair.
“What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which, if you know Nicki Minaj is not too kind. It’s not very polite… You don’t have to start this pop star against pop star war. It became Nicki Minaj and Taylor in a fight, so now the story isn’t even on what you wanted it to be about.”
After picking up an award for Best Hip Hop Video, Minaj addressed the interview directly with Cyrus while on stage.
Nicki has been in the headlines often over the past month. Most recently, ABC Family announced it is green-lighting a sitcom based off the teen years for Minaj, Billboard reported this week. Additionally, Nicki tweeted a photo of herself with The Weeknd, sparking rumors Minaj will do a collaboration with the singer, the Inquisitr reported. Other rumors about Minaj have her and boyfriend Meek Mill potentially engaged thanks to her wearing a ring during a recent shopping spree.
As for the Taylor Swift feud, Nicki Minaj buried that hatchet during the 2015 VMA awards, singing with Swift on the show’s opening number. Swift later came out and sided “100 percent” in her feud with Miley Cyrus, an insider for Taylor was quoted as saying in a recent Inquisitr article.
