Did ‘Big Bang Theory’ Kaley Cuoco End Her Marriage Over Drug Addiction?

More information is now being released about the cause of the breakdown of Big Bang Theory Kaley Cuoco’s marriage to tennis player Ryan Sweeting. Sources are now saying that Cuoco had finally had enough of Sweeting’s problems with narcotics and his inability to seek help for his addiction.

The Inquisitr reported that there will be no fighting over assets because the couple had a pre-nuptial agreement in place. The division of assets and whether or not spousal support will be paid has already been decided, and both Cuoco and Sweeting can get on with their lives.

The New York Daily News is reporting that Cuoco finally put her foot down and called it quits when Sweeting would not shake painkillers after being addicted after suffering a variety of tennis injuries.

“She supported him but she said he couldn’t make the commitment to get sober,” the insider said.

“He’d tell her he was working on it and instead go get wasted.”

At one point, Sweeting was ranked 64th in the world, but according to reports, his drive to be successful dropped as his drug dependency increased. It seems Sweeting was injured yet again, and Cuoco told friends that Sweeting was taking far too much of what the doctor had prescribed. Sweeting finally entered a rehab facility in September, but by then it was reportedly too late.

“She didn’t want to get divorced, but felt she had no choice,” a source close to the actress said.

“She couldn’t fix him. He wasn’t the man she thought he was.”

According to the Daily Mail, Sweeting started drinking and drugging after a 2014 back surgery.

“She supported him but she said he couldn’t make the commitment to get sober,” according to a source. “He’d tell her he was working on it and instead go get wasted.”

In 2006, Sweeting was arrested for a DUI and also possession with intent to sell, but he allegedly didn’t become dependent on painkillers until after the couple got married. Originally, sources commented that the divorce happened because Cuoco was more social than Sweeting.

Hollywood Life is reporting that Sweeting has had a problem with alcohol for some time, and the issues continued after the wedding. More than addiction, Cuoco was allegedly upset with Sweeting’s poor attitude. Her friends called him a “downer.”

“Ryan was home all the time. He was dealing with an injury and would be kind of a party poor and would really want people to feel bad for him. Kaley’s life, on the other hand, is going pretty well right now and she is a very fun-loving person. They had a lot of good times together, but the change in his demeanor following his injury made him different from the person she fell in love with. She decided that it would be better to move on because things weren’t helping to change his attitude.”

Cuoco continued to fight social media rumors by posting messages of love and support, saying how proud she was of Sweeting’s hard work in trying to get back to fighting form at tennis.

Cuoco has now moved on, and according to friends, seems happier than she has been in a long time. She is back at work on The Big Bang Theory, and has the support of her cast mates.
