During her interview, Bethenny Frankel said she was “really glad” to have returned to The Real Housewives of New York City after a three-season hiatus.
“It was great. It was eerily great,” Bethenny Frankel explained. “I appreciated being myself, being honest and commenting on the things I think are ridiculous. [Having that] be my job is pretty awesome.”
Adding to the awesomeness was the fact that fans of the series embraced Bethenny Frankel’s return. According to the single mother, her fans were really happy to see her back, which was a weight off of her shoulders. When first considering the idea of a reality return last year, Bethenny Frankel admitted to feeling pressure. So, when she was welcomed back with open arms by her many fans and viewers, she was finally able to relax.

Ahead of filming on the eighth season of The Real Housewives of New York City , Bethenny Frankel has been faced with a number of opportunities, and is deciding what would be best for her and her daughter (Bethenny Frankel has one daughter, Bryn Casey, from her marriage to Jason Hoppy).
“I’m weighing a bunch of different opportunities and deciding how I want to spend my time. I never want to go back to that place I was at a couple years ago where it was just non-stop. I felt like I was on a ride and I wanted to get off.”
Bethenny Frankel was featured as one of the full-time housewives when The Real Housewives of New York City began in March 2008. At the time, she was joined by Ramona Singer, Alex McCord, Jill Zarin, and LuAnn de Lesseps. One year later, Kelly Bensimon was brought to the cast, and a year after that, Sonja Morgan was added. Then, ahead of season 4, Bethenny Frankel chose to walk away from the series in lieu of her own spinoff with Jason Hoppy. The series, titled Bethenny Getting Married , followed Bethenny Frankel and Hoppy as they made their way to their wedding, and prepared for the birth of their daughter. Following season 1, Bethenny Frankel’s spinoff series was re-named Bethenny Ever After , and remained on the air for two more seasons before Frankel traveled to FOX, where she was granted her own talk show.
Although Bethenny wasn’t exactly a hit, it didn’t mark the end of Bethenny Frankel’s television career. Instead, it led her right back to where it all began: Bravo. In late 2014, Bethenny Frankel announced she would be featured in a full-time role on The Real Housewives of New York City season 7. Dorinda Medley also joined the returning stars of the show, which included Carole Radziwill, Singer, and de Lesseps.
If Bethenny Frankel decides to leave The Real Housewives of New York City after season 7, she won’t be the only missing face during season 8. Earlier this month, Heather Thomson announced she was leaving the series to focus more on her family and expanding shape wear business.
