Although Claudia Jordan isn’t a starring or recurring housewife on Season 8 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta , viewers may still see her, along with Demetria McKinney, show up in a cameo or two. On Tuesday, Demetria and Kandi Burruss hosted a party in Atlanta’s Time Restaurant & Lounge to premiere Demetria’s new single, “Unnecessary Trouble.”
Four days ago, Demetria posted a flyer for the event. It was made clear that the event was going to be filmed for Real Housewives.
A blog post on BravoTV.com shows that most of the show’s cast was there for the event. Porsha Williams, Phaedra Parks, Kenya Moore, Cynthia Bailey, and newcomer Kim Fields came out to celebrate Demetria and Kandi’s collaboration.
Also at the event was Claudia Jordan. Claudia posted a photo to her Instagram page that shows her posing with Cynthia, Kenya, Demetria, and Amiyah Scott, while a microphone is held up over them. Claudia included the hashtag “#RHOA” to her caption, strongly implying that she filmed a scene for the show.
Claudia also posted a photo of herself with Amiyah. Claudia told people to “stay tuned…” and again included the hashtag “#RHOA” to her post.
In August, Variety reported that Amiyah Scott, a transgender model, was joining the show . The report noted it remains to be seen whether Amiyah will be cast as a starring or recurring housewife, or if she will simply show up in cameos.
It’s clear now that Amiyah, Claudia, and Demetria won’t be starring or recurring housewives on Season 8 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta , although they may make cameo appearances. As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Bravo on Monday released a media newsletter that stated that the recurring housewives for the upcoming season are Sheree Whitfield and Shamea Morton , a friend of Porsha’s. The media newsletter, as well as the official promo photo for the new season, shows the starring housewives as Kenya Moore, Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss, Porsha Williams, Phaedra Parks, and Kim Fields.

Claudia Jordan joined the show on the seventh season as a recurring housewife, but was then later promoted to a starring role. Demetria was a recurring housewife. During the seventh season, Claudia and Demetria hung out with Kenya and Cynthia the most. They were eventually dubbed “Team Pretty,” as opposed to the other “team,” which was comprised of Phaedra Parks, Porsha Williams, and NeNe Leakes. Kandi Burruss, who got along with women from both “teams,” went between the two groups.
On Wednesday, Kenya posted a photo from Demetria and Kandi’s party that said that “ team pretty is back LOL.”
After filming for the seventh season ended, Demetria McKinney made clear that she didn’t want to continue being on The Real Housewives of Atlanta as a featured cast member. As the Inquisitr reported, Demetria revealed that she turned down appearing at the reunion show, and that her whole mission for being on the show was to bring attention to her music.
“Was performing while they filmed. Just sad people don’t know what’s really going on and hop on social media with lack of knowledge. Smh. My focus and reason for getting on the show was music and I got it done! Signed a deal with @Eonemusic and on tour with#PepsiFunkFest and @rkelly! Feeling super blessed and didn’t have to go on a shady rant to do it! Have a good one!”
As for Claudia, it was reported in June that she was fired from the show. Claudia later denied that she was fired and maintained that she has a say in her future on the show. As the Inquisitr reported at the time, Claudia at first seemed to deny that she was fired, by stating that she’ll “be a housewife-trust.” Yet two days later, she admitted that her role on the show was up in the air .
“Hmmm I don’t know yet. Lots of moving parts and decisions that need to be made on BOTH ends. I got some more things to consider now. Really important things.”
Perhaps Claudia Jordan was offered a recurring role on Season 8 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta but she ultimately decided to not take it, like Brandi Glanville from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ?
