Zayn Malik: Are Fans Falling Out Of Love With Former One Direction Star?
Former One Direction star Zayn Malik seems to have upset his fans for the second time in under a week. As anyone with even a passing interest in the music industry will be aware, Malik has been big news for most of this year. Around the turn of the year Malik was frequently the subject of rumors that he was about to quit One Direction. Fans breathed a sigh of relief when Zayn joined 1D at the beginning of their “On The Road Again” world tour in Australia. It did not take long for further rumors to emerge when Malik was photographed leaving a club with a girl who was most definitely not his fiancee Perrie Edwards.
Shortly after that story emerged Malik walked out of the One Direction tour and returned to the UK, reportedly suffering from stress and presumably in an effort to repair his relationship with Perrie. Just days later Zayn broke hearts across the world when it was announced that he was quitting One Direction permanently.
Fans reacted with fury a few days later when Malik was sharing selfies of himself in the studio with his former friend, music producer Naughty Boy. Many fans blamed Zayn’s friendship with the record producer for Malik’s decision to quit One Direction and Naughty Boy was subjected to a barrage of hate from Directioners when a clip of music was made public.
Malik later had a huge and very public falling out with Naughty Boy. As reported in Inquisitr, Malik used Twitter to launch a scathing “fat shaming” attack on his former friend. Shortly after launching that attack Malik announced that he had split from his fiance, Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards. Many One Direction fans had sent Perrie spiteful messages when she first hooked up with Zayn, but many supported Perrie when it was widely reported that Malik had dumped her by text message.
According to the Daily Mail some of Malik’s fans reacted with fury last week when Zayn posted a message on Twitter saying “I don’t want you to wait for me, I’m not coming home.”

Many of Malik’s fans felt that the comment was a thinly veiled and unnecessary dig at Perrie. The Mirror reports that Zayn has taken to Instagram to give the clearest sign to date that he has moved on from his relationship with Perrie.

Malik posted a stunning photograph of himself cuddling up to a mystery blonde who is reclining against the singers bare chest with a sexy pout. Malik did not caption the photograph and has given no clue to who the beautiful girl may be. According to the International Business Times, Malik’s candid photograph has angered some of his fans.
The picture of Zayn and the mystery blonde has attracted over 600,000 likes and almost 240,000 comments in a couple of days. Not all of the comments are positive. One of Zayn’s fans said simply that Zayn “is such an A***ole.” Another commented “I don’t like her, I don’t agree with her being your girlfriend, you two don’t match.”
Some fans simply implored Malik to get back with Perrie saying “come back to Perrie, she’s the best for you now and forever!” Other fans pointed out that some Directioners were hating on Perrie when she hooked up with Zayn. One fan summed up the feelings of many when she said “he’s a 22 year old man, just let him see whoever he wants. You were all hating on Perrie when he was with her and now you want him to get back with her.”
