‘RHOC’ Stars Vicki Gunvalson And Brooks Ayers Breakup: Did She Know He Was Faking Cancer The Whole Time?
The question of Brooks Ayers’ cancer has been a major focal point in this season of the Real Housewives of Orange County. With Ayers’ former girlfriend, Vicki Gunvalson, sticking up for him and remaining adamant that he is not lying about his cancer, many have started to question whether or not Gunvlason may have been a part of the lie all along.
In fact, according to Star Pulse, many fans have expressed their opinions on social media that Gunvalson may have been in league with Ayers in his lies about having cancer.
“So Brooks Ayers is definitely lying about having cancer? Vicki probably put him up to it, being desperate for ppl to like him,” one fan posted on Twitter.
For her part, Gunvalson was unable to resist the comment and was quick to respond to the fan on Twitter, denying any part in the matter and stating that she is not looking for any sort of added attention.
“Shame on you! That is the farthest thing from the truth and I am NOT desperate for anyone to like anyone,” she wrote.
While it may seem like Gunvalson could have played a part in Ayers’ lies about his cancer, it is possible that Ayers simply lied to her as well. That being said, it is odd that she would not have known if he really had cancer or not, especially considering the two were seeing each other. If she was in on the ruse, then it has certainly worked to perfection, as she is now at the center of attention on the show.
Meanwhile, as the show continues to play out this season, the accusations against Ayers and Gunvalson remain the main point of emphasis. With that in mind, Vicki Gunvalson has taken to Twitter to fight back against Meghan King Edmonds, who has been the most outspoken opponent against Ayers.
Gunvalson’s interactions on social media came after a fan called out Edmonds for her actions earlier in the season, when she phoned one of Ayers’ doctor and asked about his cancer diagnosis.
“@gunvalson What nerve of @MeghanKEdmonds calling Drs. Office’s! Who does that!” the fan wrote on Twitter.
Apparently, Gunvalson whole heartedly agreed with what the fan had to say.
“@indyjulie1 Agree! And furthermore she called the wrong one,” Gunvalson wrote in response.
Earlier in the season, Ayers’ claimed that he was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which Edmonds has since denied is true. While Edmonds has expressed her doubts about Ayers’ cancer multiple times on the show, she also discussed the matter in an interview with People magazine.
“Every single person thinks what I am verbalizing,” the reality star explained in the interview. “[As for] the answer to the question ‘Does Brooks have cancer?’ I don’t think so, but I can’t disprove that. The only thing that can actually prove or disprove it is medical records, and the only person who has access to those is the individual.”
So far, neither Gunvalson nor Ayers has released any kind of evidence that proves he has cancer. With the issue starting to gain more ground in recent episodes, it is expected that the two will release the official medical records at some point.
At the same time, other cast members have also started to side with Edmonds as more and more doubt is cast on the issue of whether Brooks had cancer and whether Vicki knew about it the whole time.
With the show getting ready to wrap things up for its 10th season, the drama between Vicki Gunvalson and her co-stars is only expected to continue to escalate.
