Vicki Gunvalson’s Family Questioning Everything: Brooks Ayers Refusing Lie Detector!
Vicki Gunvalson does what she wants. Vicki has always stood by Brooks Ayers, even when he said he had cancer. When he first heard his diagnosis, he went to the press with the news. The news quickly spread while the Real Housewives of Orange County cameras were not filming, and Gunvalson was there for him. However, no one questioned his diagnosis when the ladies weren’t filming the show. It wasn’t until the cameras went up and Meghan King Edmonds entered the scene that doubt started spreading.
These days, no one really knows how Vicki Gunvalson feels. More information seems to come forward each week. But it is possible that Vicki still stands by Brooks, even though the two have broken up. The last few episodes of The Real Housewives of Orange County are expected to be dramatic — so dramatic that Gunvalson’s own family is questioning Ayers’ story. And surely, Gunvalson isn’t pleased about that position.
According to a new Radar Online report, Vicki Gunvalson is now caught in the middle, as her own family is questioning Brooks. Apparently, he isn’t too keen on taking a lie detector test to prove his story. Brooks announced that he had been diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma, and that this wasn’t the first time he had been diagnosed.
Vicki’s family “wants him to take a lie detector test to prove once and for all that he has the disease,” a source has revealed, adding, “Vicki thinks it’s absolutely ridiculous that her kids doubt that Brooks has cancer. But there has never been any proof provided that Brooks does have it. When her kids asked him to provide proof, Brooks just scoffed at their demand and has refused to take it.”
The cancer speculations came up three times this season. First, a psychic claimed that he couldn’t see the cancer and called the story wishy washy. This psychic reading caused many of the housewives to question his story. The second time it came up was when Brooks was at CUT Fitness with Vicki Gunvalson and the other ladies. A picture from the scene is shown below.
Here, Ayers claimed that he “had” cancer. He said it in past-tense, but quickly changed it to present-tense. Many of the wives picked up on this, making them feel even stronger in their case. And lastly, the cancer question came up again when Brooks didn’t reach out to any doctors recommended to him by the other ladies, who clearly had some great connections. Plus, he wasn’t doing anything recommended to him, including staying away from certain foods and travel. He was doing all of it with Gunvalson’s approval.
Of course, there are two sides to the argument. Why should Brooks prove himself? Why should he prove to the world that he is sick? Well, many will argue that he chose to be on a reality show, and since this sickness is such a major storyline this season, fans deserve to know the truth. But now, people are questioning if Vicki Gunvalson even knows everything.
Gunvalson is furious with her co-stars over the lack of support. They are the ones questioning everything, and Vicki isn’t happy about it. It is very possible that Gunvalson has ditched her friendship with Shannon Beador over the various confrontations they have had, as pictured below.
But Vicki Gunvalson’s co-star, Heather Dubrow, has an interesting take on the entire thing. Instead of her judging Vicki and Brooks, she wants the viewers to make their own judgments based on how well they know Vicki and the story from the show.
“This season is raw, real and disturbing,” Heather recently revealed to Entertainment Tonight according to Hollywood Take, adding, “The audience is smart. I think Brooks is going to be judged and tried by the court of public opinion. The response to this season is so good, because it’s real. To say this season and situations were manufactured for drama is just not true.”
What do you think of Vicki Gunvalson’s role in this entire cancer story?
