Ben Mckenzie Is Going To Be A Dad! ‘Gotham’ Star And Co-Star Morena Baccarin Expecting A Baby

Gotham co-stars Ben McKenzie and Morena Baccarin are having a baby. The 37-year-old McKenzie and 36-year-old Baccarin, who haven’t even publicly confirmed that they’re a couple, are expecting their first child together, sources confirm to Us Magazine.

This will be the first child for Ben McKenzie, who plays James Gordon on the popular Fox drama. The former O.C. star remains tight-lipped about his relationships, according to a 2014 People interview.

“I’m really shy about that stuff. I really don’t like relationships to be played out in public. It creates terrible strain. It creates bizarre dynamics. There’s that saying, ‘Less said about the bedroom, the better.’ “

At the time, McKenzie intimated that he prefers random hookups, although he’s not opposed to monogamy.

“[I have] never had a problem being monogamous in a serious relationship. I’ve also never had a problem dating as I see fit when I’m not in a relationship… The guilt of not being monogamous would be massive.”

At the time, rumors were swirling that Ben McKenzie and Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev were an item, after they were seen hugging at Comic-Con in San Diego. However, McKenzie shot that rumor down, saying, “The one time I actually didn’t hook up with someone!”

Ben McKenzie’s Gotham co-star, Morena Baccarin, has seen her relationships become much more public, warts and all. Currently, she’s tied up in divorce proceedings with her estranged, soon-to-be ex-husband, Austin Chick. Last week, Baccarin asked a judge for full custody of their 23-month-old son, Julius and the judge granted her request, allowing the tot to live with Baccarin in New York, and allowing Chick to visit him once per month for eight days at a time.

Although Ben and Morena haven’t even admitted publicly that they’re a couple, Hollywood Life was able to confirm that they’re dating — or at least, speculate that they’re a couple — after catching the two holding hands at the Emmy Awards last weekend.

Ben and Morena’s baby will likely have a new playmate for life, as news broke last week that Ben’s former O.C. co-star, Adam Brody, is also a new dad.
